You're so right - why waste time on the unreachable? That speech wasn't for everyone. Which might be why I hear with different ears than some others. I can't help noticing that not to many of my ilk are even in some of these threads. I don't know why I do it :-)

I didn't watch it (im not following politics lately, more important things to do)

I wish I could say the same Tex - I'm tired. I'm invested for better or for worse. With all my heart I hope for the better

I watched the speech with my 80 year old Texan, Baptist, Republican, conservative mother and some of her friends.

My mom called trump white trash and her friends all clapped. Then we all had Jack and coke and played bridge.

I’m not sure bigotry is something to be proud of.

CNN tried its best to "explain away" the high acceptance/approval rating President Trump received from CNN viewers.

The poll only counted "speech watchers" who are Trump supporters ...

That would mean CNN viewership is Republican haha.

Solid speech but didn't address enough

Build the wall! Build it in the name of all that is holy!! Illegals are killing us all and we have a mega crisis at the boarder. Shut down the government if you have to! We need $100 billion or no deal! We can't let Mexicans retake the holy land!
