Ummm...thank you all for your consideration...

However...I’m going to have to disqualify myself from the contest...

I was just reviewing the contest guidelines and I neglected to abide by the rules set forth...

The rules specifically state to end your story with “the end” which I clearly neglected to do...therefore...if you could please remove my submission from consideration and award 727Sky with first place and elevate another author to third place...I would appreciate it...


Secondly...I just wanted to state that I read all of the submissions and even though I did not respond...I showed my appreciation with star and flag...

Your all a very talented group of individuals...keep writing...expression...sharing...and communication are innate needs...and when you accomplish creating emotional states by your choice of word linkage...then you have truly created something to be proud of...

Gordi, I forgot to put The End at the end of my story too. I suppose I'm disqualified too.

I did notice that quite a few entries didn't have "The End" at the end.
It's fine.
I only ask that people put "The End" so that we all know there won't be any further story posts after that. (It makes it slightly easier to score too) But it's not big enough to merit disqualification.

Whew! Now I get to pick a topic. I'll be gone all day, but will come up with a new topic soon.

I'm glad you made that ruling.

I was afraid that I would have to point out "There is no specific word count..."

If the stories were run through a Word Count, then each and every one would have a definite and specific word count.

Then where would we be

congratulations everyone and thank you to all. It was a lot of fun reading through everyone's entries. Your ability to stir up such strong emotions was a wonderful sensation to experience.

I think Yousir should get some type of special title added that they can't remove. You know, just to show their awesomeness and display it for all to see.
