Good news from Iran,

Maybe, possibly the citizens of Iran will overturn the Iranian regime and bring Democracy to Iran through protests and mass rallies.

It happened in the Ugoslavia this year, so it could happen in Iran.

Iran Guards Tell Leader Forces Unable to Control Tehran Uprising Lasting More Than 6 Hours.

Strange, this protest did not make the news in the US. Either Iran has surpressed this news or the mainstream media in the US has decided not to report this because its right wing news and not on their political agenda.

Iran Focus

Tehran, Feb. 24 – In a recent secret report to the Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps pointed out that were a demonstration or rebellion to last more than six hours in Tehran, the security apparatus would no longer be able to control the situation.

The gas shortage protest was reported right here on ATS.
The six hour Tehran uprising is theoretical. The article says that if there were a uprising lasting for more than six hours in Tehran they would not be able to control it.

I think maybe you are reading the article incorrectly. It is stating that IF a demonstration were to last more than 6 hours, they wouldn't be able to control it. They are not saying that it happened.

However, they do report on a number of small demonstrations and clashes, ranging from protesting fuel shortages, and a skirmish between some youths and those celebrating the anniversary of the revolution.

But still, I don't think it made news here because it's not really news. There are protests all over the world every day for a variety of reasons, yet they don't all get reported, cause if they did, that's all the news would be doing 24 hours a day.

Well, if the Iranian people were to make their own political progress in this manner then there would be no need for all of those troops poised for deployment to rush into Iran and ensure the safety of Iran's oil for use in the great patriotic cause. How inconsiderate these people would be! Trying to free themselves without allowing a foreign military coalition to destroy their homes and families, take their money and rule over their land with an iron fist.
