From microbial 'freckles' to sticky dust, conservators have solved some problems in the pharaoh's 3,300-year-old funerary monument, but raised new concerns in the process.

When Howard Carter unsealed the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, he set off a series of discoveries that would capture the imagination of the world and set off an enduring love affair with the brightly painted 3,300-year-old burial chamber of the boy king and his golden treasures.

Almost a century later, a team of scientists has now completed the most significant scrutiny of the tomb to date: a decade-long project of painstaking study and conservation that has solved some mysteries but also raised new questions about the future of one of the world’s most famous ancient monuments.

New ‘curses’ emerge from Tut’s history-making tomb study

This story from National Geographic is not about the curses that kill archeologists or make them sick. It is about curses like the dust that plagues the tomb. It is an interesting read. A lot of information about the mysterious brown spots is revealed.

If you want to go into the tomb of Tutankhamun , better do it soon. It looks like they may restrict access to the tomb and make tourists visit a replica instead.

Apparently it gives you dog breath and mummy has to give you a spoonful of yukky medicine according to the cartoons hieroglyphs.

Wow, if you want to, the arsehole atheist position is so open, easy, inviting.

It's all a joke like theism and religion, the curses are the proof. They also expose superstitous stupidity among professionals who believe in it. Here are a bunch of basic carvings in the name of an all powerful diety that will smite you if you disturb the tomb, probably to loot it.

Any archaeologist who fell ill and/or passed away from illness after visiting an Egyptian tomb was a victim of mere statistical coincidence. They have their life story, legacy, and work tossed around and played with in literature as a spooky victim of mojo curses by their current and future peers.
