Education does not equal intelligence.

Raw intelligence can transcend any education level. The same can not be said in reverse.

For the record, opinions cannot be lies. Opinions cannot be wrong. Just because someone has a different opinion than you do doesn't mean their vote is not important.

Amen, comrade. Much better to be morally correct than actually factually correct.

I think it's worst than that for republicans. During the mid term Trump already tried to run of a fascist based platform. Trump claimed more than once he was a Nationalist (naz i where national socialist) He ran a anti illegal immigrant campaign or was it a anti immigrant campaign similar to national socialist. Fear the caravans because there coming and are different than you there full of terrorists and criminals when they were in fact mostly women and children, Trump also ran on his accomplishments, like his biggest tax cuts in history that was the 8th largest in history mostly going to the top 10% as usual for republicans. Last but not least he ran on his wall, the wall would be the great monument to trump.

The moral is, he lost biggly it will be interesting if he tries the exact same strategy in 2020. Trump had a republican controlled House, Senate Executive and Supreme Court and didn't accomplish anything other than same ole establishment republican agenda plus exploded the deficit, I do wonder what he's gonna run on in 2020

You live in a strange and delusional world of you think that's fascist.

Ahh great the reverse of the other thread. Ok so while bemoaning the Republicans any thing being done about the divisive liars in your own party?

I mean seriously you talk about the wealth gap but try to force political mercenaries like Hillary into the White house. The democratic party has the people split into so many boxes they have them fighting each other to be the minority of the day. The party shifts from minority to minority giving lip service to helping them while doing their best to trick them into blaming each other and seeing things in terms of color. The party doesn't really care about any minority you're all just tools.

Take again Hillary a political mercenary. She doesn't and never did care about any minority or any other constituents. It was all about bribes from foreign countries, cartels and corporate lobbyists and what they could offer her. Yet she still almost won the presidency.

No one on the democratic party even cares if the person running actually gives a # they care about the D. If they did then Hillary wouldn't have gotten a quarter of the votes she did.

The democratic party has no need to give a single thing they promise, not that they are promissing anything any more. They've gone full crazy and all their rhetoric is division at this point.

Worst part is the democratic party espouses on one hand several socialist policies while endoursing minimal border security on the other. The two things are completely at odds. Socialust policies cannot succeed with rampant illegal immigration straining the system. In order for it to work you need super strict and controlled borders.

Also as proof of the democrats leaders lack of concern for their minorities, how can they support both Islam and homosexuality at the same time, or pretend they care about women's rights here while defending Islamic culture in the middle east? Is the left immune to cognitive dissonance?

I support both the left and right on several issues but you are both full of #. Both sides have good and bad ideas, but neither holds their leaders accountable or willing to stand up and say NO when their side tries to force in a leader that is antithesis to everything they stand for simply because at least they have a D or an R next to their names.

I take that back, the Republican party at least told Jeb Bush to # off damn near as a whole. Meanwhile the dems practically forced Hillary into the white house despite the bull# done to Bernie.

Obviously Republicans are fascists because they aren't for government mandated free stuff, and government mandated special stuff if someone else stubbed your toe or hurt your feelings. That must be fascist, right?

What they bark about is big business, but what they miss is government is just as complicit in the mess. And yet they continually go back to the idea that giving government more and more power *must* be the answer.

At it's root, the problem is people -- specifically those people in power and how they collude. The answer is to stop demanding we give them more power over us. Just because they are in government does not make them saints unable to do bad things. A government is just another large, bureaucratic system like any other, and like any other, it goes corrupt just as easily because it's comprised of people -- and like anyone else you know, those people are just as capable to desiring money and power above all things and using the tools they have to grab it.

In some ways, government is worse than business. Government can make law and enforce it where business cannot. Sure, business is powerful, especially when it gets to where it chokes out competition, but in the end, you can choose not to do business with it. What choice do you have when faced with government and the law?

You only criticize and hate in other people what you do not like about your own character.

I read that somewhere recently, it seemed appropriate here.

both parties are complete garbage why is that so hard to understand?

Republicans love to say this. Because when Democrats don't vote Republicans win.

I think people who think both parties are garbage love to say it.

The topic is income inequality....

Clintons worth a cool quarter billion, what business were they in you ask? Why, politics.

Obamas are projected to double that amount, from what you ask? Politics.

Al Gore- 300 million, at least he made a movie.

Yawn, they all suck, and they don't care about you.

While they aren’t generally fascists, although I’m sure a few exist, I agree that the pro rich, pro corporate angle of establishment republicans is concerning. The usual lack of care regarding income inequality is a problem too.

Further, many of them ignore the volumes of evidence that the US is not a socio economic meritocracy. The so called “myth of the meritocracy” allows poor people to be blamed for their problems, doesn’t support anti poverty and social programs, and allows rich or well to do people to justify their wealth or higher pay.

To be clear, this isn’t an endorsement of establishment Democrats. I have serious critiques of them too. They also are pro wall st, but in a veiled way. Neo liberals across the board.

Not just higher pay, if you gamble money and almost topple the US and world banking structure, you get a bonus.

I love it when the Dems say free stuff. That means I don't have to pay for it............... it's free. Not much different than saying Mexico will pay for the wall.

The government is getting pretty cocky as of late. Basically seeing how far they can push its citizens. I always tell myself is they represent me, they don't own me. I often wonder what others think. It seems some are being owned and don't know it.
