Okay, so the bill failed to pass. Now, what happens to abortion survivors in Virginia? Anyone know?

Virtually all abortions done this late are done because of severe fetal abnormalities. Who pays for their emergency care? Who takes them in, should they be able to leave the hospital, since their parents either can't or won't? Who will pay for their ongoing medical needs?

Have you read the actual bill? if so I would like a link.

You are probably right about most being severe fetal abnormalities. Shouldn't that, at least, have been in the bill's language? Since it was not, it leaves the door wide open.

So kill all the deformed people?

You are cool with that.

severe deformities and nonviable

This equals a living hell for as long as it lasts.

I think a parent should have the right to decide if their dying newborn should be put on life support or not. That's just me.

I am with you, compassion.

So, Leftists...when you see a person with Down's syndrome or dwarfism or maybe a cleft palette...do you think to yourself: "There's someone whom should've been aborted after birth!"?

Those are not severe and are viable.

Virginia lawmaker says she wouldn’t have co-sponsored controversial abortion bill if she had read it closely

A Virginia lawmaker sent an email to her constituents Wednesday night apologizing for attaching her name to a controversial abortion bill without reading it closely enough.

Unsurprising.

Satan himself wouldn't want his name associated with this sh*t.

Is any body else tired of being told we should try to compromise or understand these evil souls?

They love communism. They joke and taunt about infanticide. They relish abolishing the sacred tenets of this country, its founders, its rich and PROUD history and most importantly our rock-solid set in stone Constitution.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm personally not willing to budge another inch. We've been doing nothing but accommodating and understanding a force that seeks only to subjugate, impose, demand, ridicule and outright attack. And when they do attack, they always have their cult-sized MSM/audience chorus who provides cover 6 ways from Sunday

Those who can't see them for what they truly are simply must be blind.

Looking at the totality of events (especially just within the past 2 years) it has made me realize I despise these individuals. I am entirely repulsed by them personally and their complete lack of morality, ethics or any concept resembling "integrity" "honesty" "loyalty" "fidelity" "courage" and all the things that make US so exceptional.

I believe any attempt to further subvert the Constitution or implement any sort of socialism will be the straw that finally snaps the camels back. Real America needs to strongly and decisively draw a line in the sand, to include sitting the pro-baby murder killers down and telling them they will not get their precious abortion expanded to include killing children even more viable than they're permitted by law to kill as it is.

These are sick and twisted individuals. There is no hell severe enough to give them what they really deserve.

Compassion, yes. In that limited scenario, sure. But if that is all they want, why not simply make that the bill? The language should say "parent have the right to decide if their dying newborn will be put on life support or not"

Why even include the nonsense about abortion/termination of viable children

Nazi Germany, aided by its vile collaborators, systematically dehumanized, tortured, murdered and tried to erase more than 6 million Jewish victims. Planned Parenthood alone, since 1977, has committed more than 4 million abortions. The victims are systematically dehumanized (laws passed permitting their murder under color of law), murdered and erased (through the hoards of apologists and explainers). This is an atrocity that will one day be seen for what it truly is. Barring few and far very rare exceptions, those supporting this are on the same page in the history books.......

Dude you can not ,in any way, argue for murdering an infant outside the womb
Did you see the part where it says severe deformities and nonviable?

I think people sounding off are not able to comprehend that in rare cases babies are born where their organs are on the outside and have zero chance of surviving even a year but with current laws institutions are required to keep them on support until their body fails completely, causing nothing but anguish for the child and family.

I have always supported a woman's right to choose, however with the technology available today there should NEVER be any need for an "abortion" (if that's what they're calling it) at full term. With ultrasound and amniocentesis along with chromasomal tests that are available now any conditions the fetus may have can be determined fairly early in the pregnancy. This I know for a fact because one of my daughters who is currently pregnant has had the testing done due to certain health conditions that her husband has. And as far as the physical or mental health of the mother goes if she is at the point of delivery the subject is moot. Once a baby has been born into this world it can be called nothing but straight up murder- end of story.

People should look up deformities in babies and familiarize themselves before the decide this is murder.
What you mention is one of so very many things that can and do go wrong. it is hard to live in the best of circumstances, even rich beautiful and famous suffer and some even take their own lives.

No think what it would be like to be forced to stay alive a year, 10 years, not many live long but they do suffer incredible pain as their Families do watching them suffer unto they go.

You realize many don't have good medical care and never have the higher level of care?

slate.com...

There are ways to screen fetuses for birth defects like these, but due to a lack of clear guidance from caregivers or policymakers, parents may not find out about them until it’s too late.

Why are we missing so many important birth defects during pregnancy? Insurers and advisory groups don’t support the necessary procedures. To diagnose the vast majority of problems—such as those related to the heart, lung, gut, and brain—one must visualize the fetus’s body by ultrasound during the second trimester

Again many of the test would not be done until the 3rd trimester.

No test can catch every problem, of course. Here’s the bottom line: Until sophisticated new blood tests or high-quality scans become widely available—for example, one that provides the same information as amniocentesis but without the risks of miscarriage—the best resource to help navigate prenatal testing is a genetic counselor.

These professionals, typically on staff at large birth centers, help women make sense of their options for prenatal testing—and remind them that the usual blood tests cover only a few, relatively uncommon problems. (They also may guide couples of certain high-risk populations, like Ashkenazi Jews, to more specialized testing.)

For now, women should also consider a comprehensive fetal ultrasound in the second trimester at a high-volume, tertiary-care center. Otherwise, they may be turning a blind eye to their baby’s health.

Like so many here they are misreading or simply don't want to see. This is nothing to do with the other.

F all the liberals that support murdering babies. This is evil, whether you acknowledge our creator or not. I guess this shouldn’t be surprising though coming from a group of people that think down is up and left is right. Can we please send all the liberals, their beloved illegals and the SJW crowd to one of the empty countries in Central America? They can repopulate one of the countries that everyone left to creep across our borders and get on the tit of America. Maybe I should start a gofundme to get things going. Once they are there, they can quickly turn their new county into squalor like they are attempting to do to America. If you work for a living believe in 2 sexes, aren’t on some form of government assistance and don’t want to murder babies you will soon be a minority if not already. These are sad time in America.

Question, would you be ok with compassionatly killing an child born blind, with no legs and one arm, suffering from convulsions?
Cause somone already did that once and it didnt end very well, surprisingly.

Yes, there will always be very rare and extreme medical cases that go beyond the letter of the law. And opting for not continuing life support to the limits of what is possible may sometimes be the right choice, whether the person in question is zero or one hundred years old. I get that.

The problem with even trying to enshrine this into law is the slippery slope. There will always be that borderline case that pushes the boundaries further. And all it takes is one lawsuit to turn something like *endangering the health of the mother* into *mental anguish is a health hazard too*.
So no, "severe deformities and nonviable" is nowhere near enough to limit this to mercy for that one unfortunate child in a million.
What does "severe" mean? A person can live without limps. Yet wouldn’t that constitute a severe deformity under the law? Maybe the person in question would actually like to try to live instead of being put to death?
What does "nonviable" mean? Many children cant survive without life support after birth. What amount of support is necessary for the child not be viable enough to be killed?
Pass this law today and watch the public perception change. Just as late trimester abortions are somehow ok today you’ll have your next gen eugenics program twenty years down the line with stuff like that.

The Virginia Barbarian Bill was defeated in the legislature I believe.

😎

Yeah there was no way that would pass, worthy discussing that some ratbag would even write this bill but I don't think even the staunchest of pro-choicers would want that. I think a woman has a right to choose what happens to her body and I think whoever came up with the idea is evil...
