Howard Schultz grew up in the projects in Brooklyn and literally did work his way up, from a low position on the totem pole. More evidence that AOC just loves running her mouth and doesn't have any integrity or facts to back up her arguments

Not me, I'd prefer a successful business person any day over a career politician. (or starting career)
Schools need to do this too.

Schultz worked his way up to become a billionaire. He went to Northern Michigan University when he was young. It's not a prestigious school by any means yet he became rich because he had persistence. I have no clue how cortez thinks, she is irrational and chaotic and should not be a politician. I sometimes wonder how someone so unintelligent like she is got into such a position in our country.

Equally, it would be nice if those in politics had a little bit more of their brain functioning... but my interests are obviously not the same as the interests of voters from New York's 14th House District.

Please link the quote in which she actually says this. You link fails to provide that quote.

So, she was the best the Democrats could do? I suppose, buggers can't be choosers.

Seriously he lived in the projects, his dad was in the army not an officer. Guy worked his way up and built an empire. Not to mention arent we as Americans be accepting of all kinds of people, with all kinds of backgrounds? Nobody is better or worse. Alexandria's plea drips with jealousy and resentment.

So, the OP's quote is incorrect, and misrepresents the question that she actually asked. Typical.

"Why don’t people ever tell billionaires who want to run for President that they need to “work their way up”"
stated with a reference to a DailyBeast article on Schultz' candidacy... I'm not sure why there's a bug up your ass, but it apparently is there.

I may dislike Howard Shultz for my own petty reasons...

Why in the Hell should he have to work his "way up from the bottom"? In the real world, he did just that. Nothing but respect for that--little else, but he's earned what he's got.
