It's a mindset on the west coast. Decades of mismanagement, corruption, greed and ecological blunders.

Are they surprised ? Living in California is sort of like a mass Stockholm syndrome. Sheep following sheep, following wolves.
A good place to institute term limits on every political position from dog catcher on up.

They will wallow in their misfortune unawares. A useless region.

Sadly, this was all-too predictable. They'll file a pre-packaged bankruptcy plan that ends up leaving all of the liability for the fires with the "old" PG&E, whose assets will consist basically of whatever loose change they can find in the cushions at headquarters. The people who lost their homes will get to fight over that.

She got 2 million if I remember correctly and a lot of her clients didnt get anywhere near the money they expected.
Some of them filed lawsuits over the lawyer fees they were charged.

She was pretty much impossible for them to reach after she won the case.

Sadly, that's par for the course with class-action lawsuits. The lawyers make millions, while the people they represent get a $10 credit on their next bill, or something along those lines.
