Please keep all the officers in your prayers!

5 Police Offiers shot in Houston

This is really rather unheard of...

Ok, so this is just happening. I'm here in Texas and this lead the 6:00 pm news (literally just right now). 5 officers shot, shooter shot and killed and one suspect perhaps still at large. Ok, wait, 2 others barricaded in a home (they just said it). One officer was life-flighted. Just a wild scene...I've never heard of 5 officers being shot during a warrant...

What was the warrant for? I will base that on whether to mourn or not.

It was apparently a narcotics warrant. Is that "grieve-worthy"?

I just wanted to know if the suspects were actually hurting or violating another persons free will, or if they were just involved with something that the gov says no to.

I don`t quite understand ---

NO officer should ever be shot while serving ANY warrant .

Started to post this but it magically disappeared about 30 min ago

2 officers critical, one shot in leg, one in shoulder and one in face. Guessing the 2 critical are the 2 who were serving the warrant.

Apparently there are people still in the house so is ongoing.

Prayers folks.

I agree. And No free being should ever be jailed while exercising ANY right.
I do not support any violence either and I do mourn that it happened. What I should have clarified is where fault should lie, not whether to mourn or not.

100% agree! Don't get me wrong, I suspect these were bad people involved in this, and given the end of the war on drugs they will probably find something else bad, but the war on drugs is, proven...idiocy!

It will be interesting to find out details.

I won't speculate but am interested in the details... most of the No Knock warrants are done in dead of the night.

Then why say anything at all now?

Humans were shot, wounded in hospital, some critical.

Thoughts and prayers with them and theirs.

I grieve for the wounded. They were simply doing their jobs. However, was it necessary for them to lose their lives over an edict handed down by TPTB? Were they dealing to children, or adults who were making a decision to harm their own bodies?

End the god damn drug war now.

Given that they shot 5 officers, I would think that qualifies as hurting and violating another persons free will.

I grieve for the dead. They were simply doing their jobs. However, was it necessary for them to lose their lives over an edict handed down by TPTB?

Unless you have information that hasn't been posted, I don't think any of the officers have died...

Have you seen something that says it was a no knock warrant. To my knowledge it was just 2 officers serving a warrant.

War on drugs...yeah, I agree. It allows them to go in with swat and lots of innocents hurt.

Do you know this is what happened?
