Look the globalists are trying to take down this country on many levels. Yes drugs come into ports of entry and to bring a country down you can poison it. The opioid crisis is just that. Instead of importing just let pills become more available.
The wall might not stop everything but is will inhibit the influx of sickly needy human beings that stress the monetary infrastructure of a country.

So lets revisit. Two ways to bring down a country. 1) Poison it with drugs internally and externally. 2) Flood the country with poor that must be taken care of by medical attention and feeding. Wall here makes perfect sense.

Now to further flood the country with needy human beings causes a political shift. You want to bring down a Constitutional Republic then flood it with poor. They are more likely to lean socialist. They need help. Handouts welcome. So now we see the Democratic Party screaming tax the rich. Taxing the rich will not produce more money to any great extent but that is their logic. These wealthy people simply leave a state or country to protect their wealth. So now we have this. A stoned out generation that needs help. Illegal immigrants that need help. The wealthy leaving so investment in infrastructure is disappearing. NEED I GO ON.

There is simply a globalist attempt to bring down this country. If you have not seen this happen in the EU you are blind.
Dilution of culture, lying to the public by pushing a narrative, public scrutiny on media against anyone who loves their country, creating financial burden on a country, flood it with drugs, are all small but additive ways to kill a beautiful country. We are under attack. I am sure you will write some snarky reply about my paranoia or how we have had immigrants before. All is different now. The playing field has changed.

Glad for your post as you had the Chicklit's to run with it. Only two things motivate people to do the wrong thing. Either the possibility of death and the obtainment of money. The stench of many politicians is the never ending cash flow to them.

Agree One Billion percent so what can be done? Martial Law?

This country was built on the backs of poor immigrants.
They came because of a promise that with hard work they could be kings.
That is the america we live in now. The one built by those people.
The poor who were already conditioned to bend their backs and get things done.
Necessity breeds invention. Its how america bakes bread.

What does it take to become a supreme court judge..? What does it take to become a judge just beneath that seat..? Would it be a fantasy to think that these judges are promoted into that office if they are willing to look the other way for certain people connected to certain crimes? Would it be fantasy to think that the juridical system is invested by corrupt judges and those in power of the drugs/ weapons/ sex-trafficing industry will never be in any danger of being procecuted and put in jail?

Just for fun fantasy....what would it take to end this....who can judge the judge?

(just a fun fantasy thought experiment)

Everything you've said is just opinion and has no basis in the collective reality we all share, only in your own mind.

Why do made up facts and arguements always become the ammunition of those fighting with emotions?

Who came in through Ellis island and were inspected for diseases and questioned about their age, occupation, marital status, and destination.

Who assimilated learned the Language (English)

Got no hand outs and worked for everything (no welfare state)

Nothing in comparison to someone who sneaks over the border in the middle of the night, refuses to learn English, and strains our social safety nets by dropping anchor baby's here, steal SS # and draw benefits.

Yes...its much more believable cause "orange man bad" yea

Of course. The wall serves no other purpose but as a monument to Trumps ego. Which is why his supporters love it and why the Democrats hate it.

We’re dealing with a 72 year old lifelong rich narcissist who’s never had to deal with real life in any substantial way. This isn’t rocket surgery.

And the "No Wall" serves the bribees bank accounts well 🤫

Which bank accounts? The ones of the border patrol who get fed millions yearly by the cartels or the imaginary story in the OP?

Please be specific.

So you dont even concede the possibility of this being true?

Its outlandish to believe that some politicians have been bought by the Cartels?

a reply to: r0xorThe wall is simply too extra to do this over. It will help keep immigrants, theives, gang members, drug dealers without the drugs on them, and under educated ruffians out but it's not the end all solution it's touted as.

No one ever said the wall was the end all solution...You forgot to mention that it will restrict human/child traffickers, murders, illegal drunk drivers who kill Americans on a regular basis; largely reduce the billions upon billions of our tax dollars that these illegals bleed from us every year...

Numbers are coming in that show thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens vote in our elections...Some Democrat politicians have admitted this is one of their reasons for opposing the wall...

Hopefully in the near future we will get a couple more conservative Supreme Court justices who will help stop this sanctuary city garbage...

The funny thing is that the majority of politicians in both parties not that long ago supported a wall/barrier...Whose side were you on then??? The only thing that has changed is: Trump...So we see your agenda...

I was just telling the wife this morning about the likelihood of the cartels, who stand to lose billions in drug profits if the walls are built, because they will have to restructure their smuggling strategies, are bribing American politicians to be against the barriers being built.

The writing is on the wall (excuse the pun) that this is a valid thing.

90% of the drugs come through the ports of entry. I find it much more likely, there are dirty border agents, and guards, than the Democrats.

The wall is not going to stop much. Tunnels, ladders, and drones, oh my!

Do you ever have an original thought. Everything you post is HuffPo/Slate talking points.

I sit here and wonder if any of you on both sides ever come back and read your own arguments. Every single political article here is people citing articles supporting their own side... discounting the facts posted by the opposing side and then devolving into name calling and other school-yard tactics. It's pretty pathetic on both sides if you ask me. This is a general statement.. not in response to the quoted piece.

Rofl,

Based on the logic in that article Trump must be in bed with Mexico too because he has talked to the president multiple times...

How do you guys keep falling for the ludicrous narrative that is designed to divide us, forever and forever, so Republicans and neoliberal corporate Democrats can continue serving as proxies for the wealthy? I guess you can't. I guess you won't.

Again different set of circumstances. 1) The country was only 120million approximately. 2) They were masons, carpenters, tailors, bakers, farmers, and other professions. Yes they were poor but not destitute. Some came because they knew they could advance their good fortune not to get a handout. They came and were screened if coming by ship to east coast. Quarantined for illnesses. When they entered they could not just go and get a check. All my grandparents came this way. I know their stories. Believe me they got no handouts.

Today 320 million. Some Americans on entitlements that do not deserve it. I am in the medical field. Have seen them come in using walkers. I practiced in a small town and while going out for lunch saw same individual on a ladder doing some gutter work. What we have is our own problems here in the US. We do not need any more. I am sure there is no convincing you. I do not know your station in life so it is difficult to judge as to why you believe the way you do. I worked my ass off. Nine years of college and paid all my loans off. I make a nice living but am not rich by todays standards. I just want my grandchildren to have a good life and am not willing to sacrifice their future to try and save the world.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see top Politicians having involvement with the Drug Cartels and Human trafficking.

I think there is enough smoke to assume a fire has started somewhere.

With regards to a better border security, I agree with the idea but not the execution of it.

When discussing drug cartels and human trafficking, it will take more than a wall to make this stop. Both are world wide problems, not just an America/Mexico problem. However, the Cartels are a top threat to the US.

Amazing that New York and LA are in the top 15 US cities along with SF, SD, with Washington DC being No. 1.

Just one source and who knows how truthful it is, however, eye opening:
www.insidermonkey.com...

On drug Cartels in Mexico: BBC has a good article:
www.bbc.com...

Legalizing drugs may be the best defense against the drug cartels because without money, they won't survive.

Nancy Pelosi is actually 78 years old.

I would think that ANYTHING we can do to stop or limit the flow would be helpful. it's a fair debate whether its cost effective but no denying a wall will help.

90% is siezed at ports of entry, obviously there is no way to know how much isn't seized but its likely that 90% is a tiny fraction of the total trafficked.
