The theatre of War is changing, so they have to do a deal or be thin on the ground elsewhere. So the girls in Afghanistan wont be getting an education anymore, and will have to wear the face veil again. That should upset women's lib.

US representative special for Afghan reconciliation process Zalmaykh Khalilzad has said in a press release on social media that there are 6 meetings in Doha, Afghanistan is going to talk, meetings in Doha should be very constructive than the past.

He said that there is a lot of issues in the world, as long as all things do not go unconnected, nothing will be passed, all talks agree with Afghan-wide talks, comprehensive warfare.

Zalmay Khalilzad said that Qatar is grateful to the government to negotiate, thanks to the cooperation of the Qatar government, especially thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister's involvement.

Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid says the 6-day talks between the Taliban and the US were held in Doha, in which the US delegation talked about the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

Talking to other important issues from the US, the spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, the Taliban's policy in Qatar's dialogue was very clear that there would be no progress on other issues till the issue of withdrawal of the army.

The spokesperson says that Qatar is thankful for the talks, there is no validity in the talks with the ceasefire and talks with the Kabul administration.

The spokesperson said that negotiations will be discussed in the future and the talks will be resolved and talks will be resolved and effective solutions.

It is believed that negotiations between the Taliban and the US officials were continuing in Qatar for the past one week, which were being discussed in the war and foreign withdrawal of Afghanistan.

According to the foreign news agency, American officials are seeking a peace treaty, under which the Taleban can step forward to join the next Afghan government. US officials also insist that the Taliban should begin negotiating with the

Earlier last year, in December last year, Afghan peace talks were held in the United Arab Emirates's capital Abu Dhabi, with the help of the Taliban, agreed to continue negotiations.

At that time, it came to know that the Taliban representatives in talks will talk with their consent and will meet Zalmaykhil Zada after consulting Shali.

Remember that apart from the US and Afghan Taliban in the beginning of Pakistan's support, the Emirate and Saudi authorities were also part of the talks.

In the month of December, the prime minister Imran Khan was written by the American President Donald Trump, who was asked for help from Pakistan to bring the Afghan Taliban to the negotiation table, in which the Prime Minister said we would bring peace to Afghanistan. We will do our best with sincerity, then negotiations between the Taliban and the American authorities started.

Didn't see that coming.

Negotiators for the United States agreed to a draft peace deal with the Taliban on Jan. 26, according to Taliban officials, drawing closer than ever to ending the U.S.’s longest war. The deal, which isn’t official until agreed to by both sides, calls for the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan in 18 months, in exchange for a ceasefire from the Taliban, among other items. Taliban sources provided the draft pact to Reuters.

According to the Taliban sources, the hard-line Islamic group gave assurances that Afghanistan won’t be allowed to be used by al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists to attack the United States and its allies–a key early demand by Washington. They said the deal included a ceasefire provision but they had yet to confirm a timeline and would only open talks with Afghan representatives once a truce was implemented.

This is good news however you look at it.

WHo should get credit for this??

Its a deal....who do you think made it? A wise deal maker who has gained more in negotiations in 4 years than has been gained in 400 years if you have the foresight to understand the dynamics of the deal.

perhaps with another 20 years there, we can finally "win". The Russians sure tried, but came up a bit short. They must not have really tried hard enough.

Nothing more than a ploy to get the US / allies out of the country at which point the Taliban will seize control of the country - again.

yeah ok

Good luck trying to make a deal with TERRORISTS, the stupidity to think they would even actually uphold this is ridiculous.

They literally JUST had an incident the last few days there where people were blown up.

You dont negotiate with terrorists, nor a terrorist organization, this is stupid.

That being said yes I think we should pull it and bring ALL of our men and women home, but whoever thinks yourcan negotiate with an ideology that thinks you should die if you dont believe their religion is a complete idiot.

The Taliban are basically warlords that have been doing what they do for 1000 plus years. Extremely harsh Sunni Islamic fundamentalist that we are not going to change anytime this century or next. The interesting part is Iran is Shia so basically enemies of each other. I feel sorry for the people but they don't know much difference either, so lets get out and come back in 200 years and try again.

We don't do "war" right to actually have success. We are extremely good at winning a war, but truly suck at regime change and occupation. To do it right we need to kill all adult males and put all the children into indoctrination schools for a few generations... If we are not willing to do that then get the hell out...
