Just remember Justice Ginsburg believed that Roe v Wade was for depopulating undesirables.

And Margaret Sanger wanted to facilitate that.

And despite all the claims from the left that "they hate nazis," they instead embraced many ideas and beliefs of the nazis.

Sparta must be regarded as the first völkisch state. The exposure of the sick, weak, deformed children, in short, their destruction, was more decent and in truth a thousand times more human than the wretched insanity of our day which preserves the most pathological subject. Adolf Hitler

The Birth Control Review frequently highlighted the mission of its parent organization: “The American Birth Control League. Its Aim: To promote eugenic birth selection throughout the United States so that there may be more well‑born and fewer ill‑born children ― a stronger, healthier and more intelligent race.”[iii] Sanger neatly summarized the intimate relationship between the eugenics and birth control movements:

Before eugenists and others who are laboring for racial betterment can succeed, they must first clear the way for Birth Control. Like the advocates of Birth Control, the eugenists, for instance, are seeking to assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit. … Birth control of itself, by freeing the reproductive instinct from its present chains, will make a better race … Eugenics without birth control seems to us a house built upon the sands. It is at the mercy of the rising stream of the unfit.[iv]

The German social insurance and health care system began in the 1880s under Bismarck. Ironically, it was part of Bismarcksanti-socialistlegislation, adopted under the theory that a little socialism would prevent the rise of a more virulent socialism.

Where traditional individual ethics and Christian charity had once stood, the reformers posited a collective ethic for the benefit of the general population. Private charity and welfare were nationalized. The mentally ill, for example, having been literally released from their chains in the nineteenth century and placed in local communities and boarding houses in regular contact with others (the so-called “moral therapy”), were returned to state institutions to become the ultimate victims of statesolutions.

Life Unworthy of Living

Following World War I there had been concern among some in Germany that the war had decimated the ranks of the qualified and strong while weak, unqualified, and inferior people had been spared. Many felt that scant resources should not be wasted on the sick and suffering. The philosophy of the unimportance of the individual in favor of the people (das Volk) led to the belief that individuals who had becomeworthless, defective partshad to besacrificed or discarded.

It's arguments like yours that drove me from the church, because clearly whatever god you pray to is not the one I do.

I didn't talk about anything remotely religious. But I do not mean to judge you harshly, I'm sorry if it came out that way. I actually sympathise to a pretty good extent. I mightve done the same thing myself, but I got lucky... a few times. But I still recognise that, had I done it, it would have been a mistake.

I guess your family history must be pretty bad, and, now that I think of it, for a married woman in love to have an abortion of her own choosing is nearly unheard of, so that tells me she must have had a very good reason. So, maybe the history of complications and risk of disease may have been severe enough to warrant this.

Just one question though. Youre both married, in love, have the history of health defects, dont want kids anyway... why hasnt one of you had a vasectomy/hysterectomy? You two seem like a perfect candidate for either, or even both.

Ummm...that's the largest load of crap I've ever had to force myself to read...

Even you must admit that it is a tiny bit funny and ironic that you want people to side with you because of your subjective and personal story yet automatically exclude someone elses subjective and personal story because it doesn't jive with your ideals...

Your not progressing...your repeating everything that failed in societies ever since they began...
Your regressing...and somehow think that what your trying to accomplish is shiny and new...

Actually, you are the one that is repeating everything in failed societies. Going against their "God" of any particular era.
I'd rather be a part of society that is trying to progress than be stuck in a stagnant one that wants the old rules to apply and never try anything new...

You've got the wrong person to lay that tired old..."fearful of the dark trying to understand"...bull shiite on...
I'm a futurist...My parents were instrumental in starting the Head Start program...they attended so many sit-ins when I was a child it wasn't funny...old school hippies...

I don't care how old you are, conservatives are innately afraid of change and fearful. There are multiple studies done to prove this. You don't like change? Don't worry, it's going to happen whether you want it to or not.

I could read and write at four years of age...I read the dictionary front to back at age five...because I wanted to know what every word meant...I then read every encyclopedia I could get my hands on...because I wanted to know...everything...

Good for you..?

That same curiosity is alive and kicking in me to this day...however...there's one thing I learned at an early age as well...how to smell bull shiite whenever and wherever it reared it's sly head...

...ahh now I see your "point" about reading a dictionary!
You obviously cannot smell it because this is nothing new. It is the same thing that has been happening since the 70s with a shiny new label on it. The only difference is the fear you've been programmed to have when your party gives you some buzz words.

That's what you so called progressives are...crap peddlers...your version and vision of the future is one that I will proudly see never come to pass...
You mouth platitudes like tolerance and multiculturalism out of one side and spew invectives like cultural appropriation and racist out of the other...
The one thing you forget in all your highbrow superiority complex ravings...is the simple psychology that paints you into the corner by your own hand...

You won't see it come to pass because the old generation is dying off. Their ideas are stagnant and outdated. They have no vision nor any compunction to change the future. Dinosaurs.
You assume a lot for someone that doesn't like the same done of them...
My daughter is part native American. My nieces and nephews are part African American. I love them all. That is the surest sign of a losing and old timey argument, throwing the race card. Nice try though dinosaur.

That's why we ridicule you...that's why we laugh at you...you think you've laid claim to the mantle of forward thinking and science and progress...while repeating failed histories like they were shining beacons on the hill...
I've explained how the future unfolds many times here...but I never once left my humanity by the wayside...

No. Wrong again. You ridicule us and laugh at us because not only do you not understand us, but you don't even have the curiosity to understand us and our viewpoints. Again, I'm assuming it's because of the age gap.
Please explain how we are repeating "failed histories like they were shining beacons on the hill".

You just keep on keeping on though...you labor under a delusion of your own fashioning...I'm personally content enough to let you stay there...it's endlessly amusing...

For once we agree. I'm content to allow society to progress and try new things (even if they actually are relabelled old things) and watch the fearful hide in their caves afraid of the gods who throw sticks of fire at them during a thunderstorm.
It is not only endlessly amusing, it is outright hilarious.
Take care old timer. Without people like you, we wouldn't have old ideas to progress from.

A “viable pregnancy” is one where the fetus has a chance (or reasonable chance) of survival after birth. In other words, a healthy fetus of course (duh) or fetus with medical problems that can be addressed with a reasonable chance of survival, even if survival is difficult, it may still be a reasonable risk - these are “viable.”

A “non-viable” pregnancy is one where a fetus either dies within the womb or has no reasonable chance of survival outside the womb, with known or available medical technology.

Even a severely deformed or medically impaired child might still be considered viable, if they could survive outside the womb using medical intervention. But if that survival is life-long “life support” then, if I’m not mistaken, it is not considered viable.

So, if your wife is pregnant, and severe deformities are discovered in the growing fetus after 12 weeks (or whatever the cut-off). Your wife has life-endangering complications with the pregnancy. The doctors believe her own chance of survival if the pregnancy continues is slim to none. It is determined that the fetus will not have multiple functional organs and will have zero chance of survival outside the womb.

The government forces your beloved wife, the mother of your other three children, to go through with the full term of the pregnancy.

She dies. The deformed fetus dies.

So why can’t there be a law saying your wife has the freedom to choose life for herself and her other three kids and you?

There’s plenty of couples right there trying to have kids and they can’t.

There’s still adoption, ya know.

Or simply learn how babies are made and then JUST DONT DO IT.

I would agree if this was about healthy fetuses being late term aborted by slacker parents.

That’s not what this is. Responsible married people can fine themselves in horrible circumstances with non-viable late term pregnancies that include massive life and death risk to the mother. Should those circumstances be a death sentence for both mother and child due to poorly conceived hard-line abortion laws? Can we not have exceptions for exceptional life and death circumstances?

If a fetus, late term, is viable and the mother’s life is in danger, the child isn’t aborted illegally in any state. The child is removed via c-section or possibly labor is induced, whichever is safest.

The law protects the mother if the unborn fetus is beyond help and she is in danger.

How is that unreasonable?

The law has not changed. The New York law merely mirrors Roe V Wade. The same rules are in place. In the US, women don't need an excuse to receive an abortion on demand, according the law. A life threatening medical crisis is not an "excuse".

Stop hiding behind those people.

This law makes it allowable to let anyone change their mind about being pregnant. All they have to do is come up with an excuse of any kind. This has been gone over. We're no longer just talking about the rare "horrific circumstances" that almost always get caught earlier on in a pregnancy.

Really. Can you provide an example of any excuse a woman might use, and that a doctor might acquiesce to, to get an abortion at, say, 39 weeks?

Maybe I don't remember.

That's not what I said though is it? Up to a certain point the development of all embryos is the same, so surely what sets us apart from pigs must happen after birth.

Ya ok bro..all the same ?

Like to see the science behind that as clearly they cannot be all the same.

You are wrong.
You are either following your own fear (which I get if you are pro-life), or you haven't read the bill. Everything you have said is easily verifiable as false.
