I have watched the first 6 eps is season 2 and I have a ton of shhh to research and I have s1 still to watch, wasn't expecting much from it but was instantly captivated, proper high strangeness that I would have expected to popular on this site, but alas most of the ATS herd is lost in politics and propaganda.

This thread proves that.

Great documentary, and good to see the whole of ATS isn't lost in the swamp.

I agree, couldn't stop watching. I am surprised there aren't many posts here about Hellier

So I've watched season 1 & 2 and I found it all to be a bit like the crypto' shows on the Discovery channel, people running around going this must lead to something, lots of "investigations", a box that picks up random radio frequencies so must be Aliens and a lot of nothing really going on. The show itself was well made but disappointed in the end really.

Season 1 was interesting.

Season 2 was mind-numbing boredom.

I’m watching Hellier right now, and in the second or third episode of Season One when they are using the spirit box the “entity” mentions a coyote in the context that it couldn’t talk freely. The investigators immediately begin looking around for the coyote.

When I was in the military, we would have war games. The people who observed were referred to as coyotes. When the spirit box said that, it really interested me. Especially since the investigators didn’t seem to consider that as a possibility.

I watched all of both seasons. If there were actually something to their topic this group of investigators wouldn't find it. From the blatant lack of planning and preparation in regard to any phase of the investigation to the many times it thusly resulted in nothing which was then convoluted to mean something profound I walked away from it unsatisfied. What could have been an interesting two part feature was turned into a drolling series of events I can only equate to over produced pornography for schizophrenics and the completely unskeptical.

Had the investigation team pursued hardcore evidence or documentation beyond the cursory base level of what amounts to sightseeing maybe they would have had something substantial at all. Instead what we're left with is hours of grasping at straws, multiple changes in direction, and a resulting obvious apprehension toward any unified comprehension of the limited exploration which was done. In the world of modern paranormal investigation this documentary is carried out by a small group of blind squirrels who seem to be both technically and emotionally incapable of concrete or thorough documentation. The film sections themselves are expertly produced and easy to watch, but the substance within simply can't stand on its own under any light. The only worth in this documentary is strictly in self validating speculation and entertainment, which I fear will encourage further dismissal of the paranormal fields at large.
