Who needs a poll? Trump himself publicly took credit for the shutdown on national TV. So everyone can keep spouting the narrative of “it’s the Democrats fault” all they want.

Those of us with a memory not tied to whatever the latest conservative propaganda is see what is happening with complete clarity.

And we vote.

What's more the link provided doesn't even give a link to the actual survey.

Here's the poll for you.

Nearly 6-in-10 voters — 57 percent — disapprove of Trump's job performance, compared to the 40 percent that approve. In addition, 54 percent of voters blame Trump and Republicans on Capitol Hill for the government shutdown. Only 35 percent blame congressional Democrats.

The wording here seems fishy..

just 7 percent of voters said that they support dedicating funding to a border wall if it was the only way to end the government shutdown.

Just 7% of people polled would support dedicating funding to the wall "If it was the only way to end the government shutdown"

Does that mean that 93% of people polled would rather have the gov't shutdown than fund the wall?

My wife and I will help build the wall...
Teach us how to weld or lay bricks and we will be there...

I guess we are part of the 7%...along with every single person I know...

Then again, we are all Texans and all have a ‘story’ regarding illegals...ALL of us

We already give piles of money (mainly in the form of taxes, income and property taxes) to subsidize illegals lives...
Let’s turn off the spigot...

The poll would be 100% if taken in Texas rather than 7% which undoubtedly includes people far removed from the illegal migration’s negative effects...

Yeah - I read it.
The minority think Trump is to blame for the shutdown and the MAJORITY are against a plan that funds the Govt WITHOUT a wall.
Interesting, heh?

The Daily Beast are cherry picking to push propaganda. One would have hoped that on ATS, some study would have been done before posting their article. Alas, it appears not.

7%?

Sure, most polls have a margin of error of 3 to 4 percent.

If your source was going to make up numbers they should have at least made them feasible.

And he didn’t win the popular vote, as a matter of fact, he suffered an historic loss. And face it, the scum bag only won the electoral college by around 60,000 votes spread across several states. And if Comey didn’t do his part for tRump at the last moment tRump loses bigly. Anyway, retreat back into your bubble of ignorance. a reply to: notsure1

Your link ends with the addition of this little gem:

And further bad news for the White House: The poll also shows that a majority of the respondents, 57 percent, believe it’s likely that Russia “has compromising information“ on Trump.

So.............. it pretty much goes without saying that there is an extremely high chance of this poll being conducted with very limited sample size, in a highly biased demographic.

From results so far, looks like only 1% believe it.

Hasn't been a good month for fake news, or fake polls.

Is this the poll that asked people if they thought it was worth shutting the government down over the Wall?

I've got news for you. *I* don't think it was worth doing, but not for the reasons you think. I think the Demcrats were stupid not to insist on good security for the nation, and they are refusing to do it. So, no, it's not worth shutting down the government over a refusal to defend the Southern Border.

That's the problem with the question.

You guys really need to get off the popular vote thing.
But my team gained more yards than yours. we should have won.....

Presidential elections are determined by electoral votes, not popular votes.
If the popular vote was important trump would have spent loads more time in California trying to get votes, but since he was going to lose the state he didn't waste a lot of time there.

Know the rules, play by the rules, win the game.

So when unions like the Teachers Union go on strike are they holding "kids hostage" to get whatever contract concessions they want? Just want to make sure we know where you stand...

Just wait until Trump starts tying people up and stuffing them gagged into dark closets. The gold plated gun he's holding to the heads of all those hostages is the shizzle!

And then comes the direct torture:
