It's the Fluoride I think. I have Conservative friends going full on liberal. Agreeing with the nonsense.

Well a person is allowed to do whatever they feel to their body.
But also the gubment needs to stay away from that and leave them be.
So the left thinks they are defending them just as much as the right does but both are over stepping.
It is stupid to believe otherwise.
But that is just my opinion on the matter.

My kids are going to own this world so damn easily. It's a shame what the heshe crowd and other liberal displays of impotency are doing to the next generation... but less rats, more cheese for those with thick skin and a chip on their shoulder (as man is intended to stride through life).

I think the genderless term "idiot" would be a good description for her....excuse me....for the idiot.

Ah, the Scarlet Pronouns. I've never seen a faction more at odds with the image they have of themselves in their own minds than the progressive left. You don't even have to be all that much of a scholar of history to see that they are the illiberal puritanical movement of our time -- and they operate under the guise of liberalism no less. You also don't have to be a towering intellect to understand that puritanical movements within government end badly. Very badly. Forever and Always. For Everyone. No matter how principled or moral they've convinced themselves they are or what perceived heresy they use to justify their abject actions.

The level of sheer ignorance it would take to be behind a movement like this is just befuddling to me. How? How? How? Can a group of people be this dangerously myopic in this day and age? And how, despite all the self-evident knowledge at our disposal that clearly defines this path as prodigiously dangerous - can so many people be worshiping at its altar?

Good gawd! Is this a joke?

It's California, so yes, yes it is a joke.

We should call 'assault weapons', It.

That would surely fly in the People's Republic of Cali.

Well, that is ridiculous. This is not a state law. Also this woMAN, is out of her mind.

As a gay guy, I am still a man, for God sake! I don't look, act, feel, dress anything like a woman. In fact, I am a tee shirt, flannel, jeans kind of guy. I do clean up nicely.

I can not believe this! I am going to write THEM, and say exactly how I feel too. Just like I did about Elizabeth Warren, and her .00001 Indian blood (I can't remember the actual %, but it was nothing.)

This is my primary argument against such moves.

There is a person at work who goes by non-binary "they/them" pronouns.

THe first month I worked there I slipped referring to them, luckily not in front of them. But, we were discussing serious matters and my linguistic mind goes back to patterns.

It's one thing to call someone who obviously identifies and dresses as a different gender than born, he or she. If a trans women not only is noticeably female identifying or something similar, and wants to be called she, that's doable.

But, violating the English language/linguistics to refer to people in plural ways at all times seems to me to be unrealistic. Despite our best intentions, it is difficult to break out of these linguistic patterns.

This is separate from issues such as trying to remember multiple different people's 'preferred pronouns."

They is plural. You can't use they to say she or he.

How the hell did this idiot get elected? Idiot is not gender specific, they can just call everyone and idiot, it is not gender specific nor is it plural.

I am morally outraged at this huge discrimination against the Hispanic people. Did no one tell this State Senator that most of the Spanish language requires gender identity you use the correct word?

Shame. This proclamation represents English as the primary language to be spoken.

It's the new secular religion, besides scientism. It provides community, in-group salvation and out-group demons, explanations for heresy, original sin in the form of white and cis-het male privilege, and heavy moralism.

We are seeing a new fundamentalist ideology/religion grow before our eyes. It started as a small group spread out in pockets across NGOs, certain academic fields, and activist groups, and has now metasticized throughout the body politic.

I guess part of it is the more conspiratorial view, that it was a conversion by fabian socialists of the revolution from economic class based marxism into ethnic and gender identity based class warfare (cultural marxism). There are elements of post modernism added in for good measure.

It is time sane people stand up and get loud. We tend to brush it off as just idiot far lefties being what they are....psychologically impaired and just plain irrational.

It's time to say, 'NO', enough is enough. Stop this insanity.

When my Son died almost 10 years ago, I started having major issues with my mind and believing that things werent right. I used to tell my family and friends that something isnt right. On and on it went until well, here I am still believing things arnt right. I couldnt tell you whats IT is. Maybe when he died it started a sort of "mid-life" crisis in me that I still havent learned to cope with. The reason I say this, is because around that same time, the whole social construct seemed to begin a change as well. Where "common sense" no longer seemed to dictate peoples basic actions. Instead, it was a change to "me and my feelings are the most important thing, overriding your common sense". I sometimes wonder if I have died, or if my reality was somehow merged into another one, because I can tell you, something isnt right. I feel like I'm in hell and cant escape. I cant stand this reality. Maybe too much internet. Maybe time has passed me by. Now I'm just an old, fat, white guy with a lifetime of mental illness to show for it. I want to get off this ride.

I have been through unbelievable loss.

I relate to most of your comments.

You got it right, and just wait til they advance to burning at the stake. They already have their Inquisitions; they just aren't yet allowed to do the actual torturing to obtain confession yet.

I'm way too old to switch pronouns at this point.

I still say "Hey guys" to any group. That's one of my go to group pronouns. I teach a lot of women's self defense seminars and never once have I had a complaint.

I also will use she and he and him and her. I Never say "sir" or "Ma'am" I've run a business for over 20 years and never needed to and that was never and issue and everyone I deal with has always felt respected.

The only issue is in the rare occasion that I really don't know the person's gender, like a real life Pat(SNL) I will go to the pronouns you, me, I exclusively. That has rarely happened.

So...back on point. This is a non issue. Just when I think it might be time to be a Democrat, I get this and people wonder why I'm an independent.

So so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of pain that losing one's child brings.

Don't lose hope. More and more people are beginning to awaken to the absurdity that has infiltrated our social order. Sane and rational people are beginning to speak up, refuse to accept the insanity, and where necessary, using the courts to exact justice.

I think there is a shift taking place right now and people are realizing we let the left take us almost over the precipice. They are still trying to do this and they are calling things moral that are immoral, and things righteous that are unrighteous.

There is a Great Awakening happening and the tide is turning. Common sense, real authentic caring, and unity will get us back on track. We have been going off the rails since the mid 60's, imo, but it will hopefully change soon.

Call insanity and idiocy out every single time. Don't let this scourge take us over the cliff.
