I've been trying valiantly, but failing to no longer be attracted to either anymore.

Me? I was a late bloomer. I have always had what you might consider a classical appreciation for the human form, it's more like appreciating art, and yes both men and women. Sexually it wasn't till I was almost out of my teens and no it wasn't a conscious decision.

So when did I make as conscious decision to be attracted to the opposing sex? Never did. It was just there one day, didn't even see it coming.

I think a bit of rephrasing is in order here to this great thread topic.

"Decide you'd be attracted to the opposite sex..."....should maybe be asked as "when did you realize you weren't attracted to the same sex?".

Man/woman is the general norm...though same sex relationships are fine...to each their own. Your choice. I support that.

I think we all as we go thru boy/girl, girl/boy relationships...and somewhere in that youthful experience, don't even think of deciding to remain that way.

Conversely, I believe as well, that some decide/realize/understand early on they are attracted to the same sex, or both. Others, it's a later on in life decision.

Not like " when did you decide you were going to get a driver's license and drive a car"? We all in general...just get one and drive...though some may end up driving a truck, motorcycle, SUV...instead.

The day I saw Batgirl in uniform. The 1960's version. Shwiiiing. That feeling was re-affirmed the first time I saw Lynda Carter bust out into the Wonderwoman costume. Sweating just thinking about that.

Pretty sure my first crush was around 6 or so years old. And it was two crushes, actually -- Picard and McGyver (I really wasn't in to cartoons...)

What snowflakes are those? The ones all up in everyone's business when it doesn't impact them?

Why would you think snowflakes care about how you cater to them? I don't think they do.

I think the misunderstanding goes both ways. I don't think the homosexuals understand how powerful and deep the attraction to the opposite sex can be. This is why it is so difficult for heterosexuals to understand the homosexual way of being.

I think the curves and skin of a woman's body is evidence for the existence of God. There is nothing I have found in my whole life that is more pleasing to my eye and my touch than a woman's body. It's beyond the most profound.

Wasn't that around the time he renamed it "Spot"?

"attraction" is strong enough to describe my feeling for women. Obsession....perhaps
