Ironic that this thread should be in the "U.S. Political Madness" forum, while some FAKE threads there should be in the hoax or lol forum, but they are not...

I did notice this, so I won't be taking the Buzzfeed story too seriously unless it is backed up by evidence at a later time.

This past April, Bob Mueller chided the Mainstream Media for reporting FAKE NEWS about his investigation.

And in June of last year, Bob Mueller filed complaints against the New York Times and the Washington Post for publishing FAKE NEWS about his investigation.

ATS Thread About These Filings: www.abovetopsecret.com...

The Liberal Media is slow to learn. MAYBE they are now starting to figure out that Bob Mueller is NOT their friend.

Before ya'll naysayers put all your eggs in one basket...Let's all listen to Michael Cohen's February 7 testimony before Congress.

"Mueller's refute of the BuzzFeed report, isn't an outright denial of the underlying charge, but that it edges along to say the details are wrong. What that means...I don't know what it means exactly. But I'm not willing to throw away the BuzzFeed story based on the language that they used."

Can someone tell me what this article is concluding? Was the BuzzFeed story an honest mistake?

The Buzzfeed story was a deliberate misstatement of events. That they didn't wait for confirmation or a call back from the phone call before going forward with unsubstantiated bombshell claims is evidence of that.

Has the hallmarks of the Steele dossier they broke.

CNN is "concerned" because Bob Mueller's office declared the BuzzFeed story as Fake News, just a few hours AFTER Rudy Giuliani spoke with the Mueller team.

Story: www.cnn.com...

Those who know what's really going on, are not concerned in the least.

Giuliani confirmed with Mueller that there are NO documents, emails, or texts to backup Buzzfeed's story. I'm sure most of us don't doubt that Cohen would SAY such a thing without any evidence to back it up.

Not interested. Him releasing a statement at all is extraordinary. He only would do so because a story was so egregious and incorrect that it possibly risked the legitimacy of his investigation.

“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office, said Friday.

That's an outright denial. There is no hidden agenda or 4D chess game. This isn't a Tom Clancy story.

Buzzfeed produced zero-zilch evidence. Mueller refuted the story. The writer himself is specious at best. That doesn't look good for your straw grasping.

Get a grip on reality, it is frightening to see how far gone some of you are. This is no different than the BS political-hack Steele "dossier" nonsense. Funny how nobody ever mentions that discredited pile of # anymore isn't it? Of course they don't, it has already had its "public impact" and a chunk of the morons out there will continue to believe it/swear it is true. This is no different than fake ass Stormy Degenerate or her creepy Porno lawyer who showed a picture of a likely blank CD sitting in a $50 safe. Or even the fake Russian bots your own party targeted you all with. Or even the fake-news high school harassment nonsense that the hysterical MSM hyper-actively and breathlessly went on and on about until more videos emerged showing the true narrative.

Wake up my friend. Radical leftism belongs in the discount section of history's trash heap.

Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket... you all are so invested in this fake news "Mueller is the end of Trump" nonsense you've become a fanatical cult.

At least we know how Charlie Manson did it... lots of wishful thinking mixed in with a hearty helping of bull#.

2 years now, come on.... What is he waiting for? I suppose you all just think that hacks like Rachel Maddow and homophobe Joy Reid were somehow able to dig up evidence/connect the dots (A->F->C->Z->B->ad nauseum) and somehow Mueller and his multi-million dollar investigation has not. Even tools like moron Schiff-for-brains and Skeleton Feinstein (who all claimed to have seen this mythical "evidence") are clearly holding out on Mueller

Interesting isn't it? Couldn't be the fake news MSM and complicit leftists pushing a fake news narrative intentionally could it?

We're wise to you people.

It's aaaall a show, people.

We are the pawns and they play with us as they want it.

Well one thing is for sure: you're not fully awake (to the more dangerous threats to your mind and thinking), perhaps partially awake, or slowly waking up to the reality that you're being played; but I doubt you really fully grasp where it's coming from, who's really pulling the strings here. Just as most ATS users aren't really awake (ATS isn't a useful tool to wake people up to the things that matter the most, it mostly consists of divisive politics and conspiracy entertainment, intrigues and mystery; it's not going to wake you up to anything important).

Here's some advice that may help with waking up though...

“Be Lowly in Spirit”:

Wisdom personified is portrayed as saying: “Self-exaltation and pride . . . I have hated.” (Proverbs 8:13) Pride and wisdom are poles apart. We need to act with wisdom and be careful not to develop a haughty, or arrogant, disposition.

“Pride is before a crash,” warns Proverbs 16:18, “and a haughty spirit before stumbling.” How important it is to guard against feeding the pride of others as well as allowing it to develop in us!

“Better is it to be lowly in spirit with the meek ones than to divide spoil with the self-exalted ones,” states Proverbs 16:19. That this is good admonition is shown in the case of King Nebuchadnezzar of ancient Babylon. He proudly set up an immense image—perhaps representing himself—on the plain of Dura. While high and lofty things—such as that statue as well as obelisks, steeples, and skyscrapers—may impress humans, this is not the case with God. In fact, “what is lofty among men is a disgusting thing in God’s sight.” (Luke 16:15) Better it is for us to “be led along with the lowly things” than for us to “be minding lofty things.”—Romans 12:16.

“There exists a way that is upright before a man,” says Solomon, “but the ways of death are the end of it afterward.” (Proverbs 16:25) This is a warning against false reasoning and the pursuit of a course opposed to divine law. A certain path may seem right from a fleshly standpoint but may really be against the righteous principles of God’s Word. Moreover, Satan may promote such deception so that a person is urged along in a course he believes to be right, whereas it actually leads to death.

There can be no better protection against self-deception than a heart that is wise and understanding and a conscience that is enlightened by the knowledge of God’s Word. When it comes to making decisions in life—whether in the matter of morals or worship or anything else—the best way to guard against self-delusion is to be guided by God’s standards of good and bad.

“However, the inspired word* [Lit., “the spirit.”] clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired statements* [Lit., “misleading spirits.”] and teachings of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, whose conscience is seared as with a branding iron.” (1 Timothy 4:1,2)

The words coming from our mouth can be as destructive as a blazing fire. Describing the ruinous effect of searching out the faults of others and broadcasting them, Solomon says: “A good-for-nothing man is digging up what is bad, and upon his lips there is, as it were, a scorching fire. A man of intrigues keeps sending forth contention, and a slanderer is separating those familiar with one another.”—Proverbs 16:27, 28.

A man who tries to scorch his fellow man’s reputation is “good-for-nothing.” We should try to look for the good in others and say things that build respect for them. And what about lending an ear to those who spread harmful gossip? Their words can easily arouse groundless suspicions, separating friends and causing division. Wisdom will move us to pay no heed to them.

Warning about a seductive power that can cause one to follow a wrong course, Solomon says: “A man of violence will seduce his fellow, and certainly causes him to go in a way that is not good. He is blinking with his eyes to scheme up intrigues. Pinching his lips together, he certainly brings mischief to completion.”—Proverbs 16:29, 30.

Many individuals today have been seduced into ‘scheming up intrigues.’ They also promote or perpetrate acts of violence. We may not find it difficult to stay clear of such direct participation in violence. But what about being lured into it by subtle means? Have not millions of people been enticed into enjoying entertainment or sports that glorify violence? The Scriptural warning is clear: “He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly.” (Proverbs 13:20)

A life spent in the way of righteousness is beautiful in God’s eyes and is deserving of respect. “Gray-headedness is a crown of beauty when it is found in the way of righteousness,” says Proverbs 16:31.

On the other hand, there is nothing beautiful about uncontrolled anger. Adam and Eve’s firstborn son, Cain, “grew hot with great anger” at his brother Abel and ‘proceeded to assault him and kill him.’ (Genesis 4:1, 2, 5, 8) While there may be times when we rightly feel angry, we must be on guard against allowing our anger to get out of control. Proverbs 16:32 clearly states: “He that is slow to anger is better than a mighty man, and he that is controlling his spirit than the one capturing a city.” Uncontrolled anger is a sign neither of strength nor of virtue. It is a weakness that can ‘cause one to go in a way that is not good.’

The Manipulation of Information: Awake!—2000

Btw (in relation to what I said at the start of this comment), ATS provides one of the better demonstrations of the phenomenon described and predicted at 2 Timothy 4:3,4 that are available from observing human behaviour (in particular the way they talk, reason, argue and what they want to believe or what captivates their interest, what intrigues them):

“3 For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome* [Or “healthful; beneficial.”] teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled.* [Or “to tell them what they want to hear.”] 4 They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories.”

1 Timothy 6:20

20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, turning away from the empty speeches that violate what is holy and from the contradictions of the falsely called “knowledge.”

Knowledge (gnoʹsis) is put in a very favorable light in the Christian Greek Scriptures. However, not all that men may call “knowledge” is to be sought, because philosophies and views exist that are “falsely called ‘knowledge.’” (1Ti 6:20)

Real science: knowledge of realities and beneficial teaching compared to unverified philosophies and (false) stories and that which is “falsely called ‘knowledge.’”* (* Latin: 'scientia')
