In order to support that conclusion I would want to see all the paperwork involved. Until that happens all he is charged with was 1 count of lying to the FBI. We can also use Manafort and his charges and then ask why the Podestas werent charged considering at the time they worked together and committed the same crimes.

I'm going on the assumption that the judge in the case basically opened up the path for him to suggest he was in the right and the FBI was in the wrong, but he still went forward to accept the pled deal.

Flynns deal is not a done deal as of yet. I still maintain he will be cleared by Judge Ellis due to the illegal manner the SC is conducting itself and its investigation. Just recently a FOIA request was made to unseal Weissmans prosecutorial misconduct cases and low and behold they are missing from the court system files.

Secondly its been revealed that Flynn's dealings in Turkey and Russia was in fact a DIA operation that Flynn was briefed on and whom received classified briefings by intel agencies on what to look for. Grassly requested the DIA declassify certain portions that exonerate Flynn w/out jeopardizing the operation / national security but the DIA is refusing to do so.

Given how our IC operates its not out of the realm of possibility Flynn took the deal in order to protect that operation and given how our classification systems work Mueller would not get access to that info since it would be compartmentalized and need to know.

You do understand she is still under criminal investigation right? You also seem to forget that it was Obamas DOJ who has to bring criminal charges and then prosecute. Congress has no authority to do any of that as their role is oversight.

Funny how facts can undermine your political response.

They were going after Flynn's family and he took one for them. The problem with Flynn is he likely has the goods on everyone. The FBI and Clinton needed to neutralize him.

Republicans have the White House, the Senate, and probably the Supreme Court. They did have Congress too. So why all the whinging on-line? Why not hold your Republican reps to task? If there is any substance in what you're saying...they are the ones betraying you, not your admitted political adversaries.
Or is this just creative butthurt?
Which is all to say, what is the endgame here? Conservative values or simply divide and conquer? Y'all might wanna look into that.

Hell must have froze over Canuck as for once I agree with you after all these years. Our elected officials best get there sh..t together as this is not JFK huge this (Gigantic) as the FBI is our best and brightest ABC bureau, which wields the power in many decisions that Congress, the House, and the Senate pertain too. We are one step away from becoming a Banana Republic if our elected officials don't pull their sh..t together!

Going after his family is where the term "coercion" comes into play in the legal realm. That is just as bad as a Brady violation. You cant threaten someone in order to force them to cooperate). If law enforcement is looking for a fugitive they cant go to the guys girlfriend and threaten to take her child away if she doesnt tell them where he is at. The correct way would be to charge her with obstruction.

Threatening to charge is different than threatening to remove a child.

Flynn's son was not indicted even though the other 2 business partners were indicted which begs the question -
Was he not charged because of the threats made to Flynn or was he not charged because he broke no law. If it is #2 then there is a problem.

As for having there goods - absolutely. People seem to forget McCabe made the comment first we F**k Flynn then we fu** Trump. Flynn was a character witness for a Female FBI agent targeted by McCabe (harassment). In addition to Flynn several other former and current high ranking military officers came to her defense. Those actions put McCabe under the microscope so instead of screwing this agent over and drumming her out quietly it became exposed, threatening McCabes position in the FBI.

At this stage in the game any death of any witness is going to garner wide spread attention.

Well looking at the crimes of Clinton etc the DOJ/FBI was in fact controlled by the Obama admin and not Trump. The executive leadership of the DOJ/FBI when Trump came into office were carry overs from Obama.

Congress has authority to perform oversight. They have no authority to bring criminal charges and any charges must be sent to the DOJ for action. Sessions recused himself leaving Rosenstein dealing with all of this, including the Clinton Obama investigations. It is why Sessions forwarded investigations to Horowitz (The ICIG) and to Huber, a DOJ prosecutor based out of Utah to investigate those very actions.

So to answer your question no its not creative butthurt. What it is is a firewall that was held over from the Obama admin. To throw a question back and based on all the crimes the DOJ/FBI/Clinton committed why didnt the Obama admin bring charges against these people? The Obama admin knew as far back as 2014 that Russia was running an influence campaign for the upcoming 2016 elections yet did nothing.

Understanding how our government works is key to understanding the topic - respectfully.

Got a real time example of a black man who was shot robbing and the left were all in a up roar over it? A good number of these shootings I have seen where people get upset over I also have a WTF moment when I reviewed them.

Great thread -- thank you! -- and great job tending your thread!

Have you seen this: Trump's shutdown trap?

Has President Trump suckered Democrats and the Deep State into a trap that will enable a radical downsizing of the federal bureaucracy? In only five more days of the already "longest government shutdown in history" (25 days and counting, as of today), a heretofore obscure threshold will be reached, enabling permanent layoffs of bureaucrats furloughed 30 days or more.

I thought it was interesting to consider in terms of your OP about long-term ongoing corruption in a federal agency and draining the swamp...

Better living in people's heads rent free than in the White House rent free. That's all most people really cared about.

lying to the fbi is only a crime if someone on the trump campaign or administration does it

Lying to the "left-wing/Globalists authoritarians" means forgetting something that happened a year, or two ago. You must remember everything you said in every conversation in order to "not lie." That's the new standard of the left/globalists, but that same standard doesn't apply to them...

How many times did Comey claim "he didn't remember" when he was asked questions?...

He (Comey) "didn't remember" 71 times...
He (Comey) "didn't know" 166 times...
He (Comey) "didn't recall" 8 times...

But hey, as long as you work with the corrupt left and their globalist pals you can lie, be as corrupt as you want, and can put people in jail (who lean to the right in politics, and would not kowtow to the left-wing authoritarians) for things that no "left-wing authoritarian" would see even a day in prison for.

I have come across several comments on this topic with the same mindset on reducing the size of the government. My comment was to use this time to re-evaluate agency staffing needs and relevancy.
