Wow, apparently thats the biggest defeat in the history of the commons.

Ouch.

well tomorrows going to be interesting.

All going to end in revoking article 50 and staying in the EU. Bad news for democracy and once in a generation votes if that happens and sadly I see it happening.

I hope someone can reliably inform me what is likely to happen now.

The queen is going to dissolve government and announce that the Teletubbies are now to form a government of national unit with Peppa-pig and the power-rangers. Andy-Pandy will be the next PM.

Its a #ing mess.

I have no idea whats going to happen, a general election would mean delaying Brexit I guess but just because she's been beaten so badly doesn't mean that the motion of no confidence will win. Who knows how this is going to play out.

Either there's another couple of billion up her sleeve for the DUP or she's had enough

I wouldn't be surprised if she jumped ship.
She can claim she's tried her best and now its time for someone else....even though some of us may suspect its been all by design.

And think how much her memoirs will command now?
All with an elevation to The Lords and generous reward from her EU masters.

I fail to see how General Election can be beneficial in the current climate unless Brexit is delayed by anything up to two years or so....and that just prolongs the agony and uncertainty.

According to my lad, they're nice and have more protein than proper ones.
He has noodles for arms though.

General election is just mental, I guess it depends on if the government lose the vote. Remember for this to happen every MP basically has to vote to have their job put at risk so just because they government have just been destroyed in this vote doesn't mean they won't win the confidence vote.

I agree.
Wouldn't be all that surprised to see some of the far right doing well out of this.

I think it's time for a breakaway labour party, this one represents working classes about as much as the Dems do in the US

118 Tory MPs voted against government on Brexit
Some 118 Conservatives voted against the government on Brexit.
Sky’s Faisal Islam has the figures, from the CommonsVotes app

+

In the Commons the Labour MP Yvette Cooper asks John Bercow what MPs can be done to ensure article 50 is extended.
Bercow says, if MPs call for a vote, he will ensure it happens

+

Donald Tusk, the president of the European council, has posted this on Twitter. He seems to be urging the UK to consider cancelling Brexit.

(From earlier link)

What a mess !

Just saying.

She'll survive the vote of no confidence for the simple reason no-one wants to be PM whilst Brexit is still unsorted.
No-one wants to be tarnished with the legacy of seeing Brexit or non-Brexit through......and no sane human being wants Corbyn in power.

Can we draft Ruth Davidson in?

I think surviving a vote of no confidence in the government is going to be harder for her to survive than a vote of no confidence in her role as Conservative party leader.

I am not brave enough honestly to make a prediction on if the government will or will not survive this vote of no confidence.

Big Ruth has said she will never take the job.

They don't want to have to try to come up with our share of the cash when we leave, they have a hard enough time taking cash from their citizens as it is.
