The kicker I read is not only are the Democrats there, they are there with hundreds of lobbyists. Who are no doubt wining and dining them. Bought and Paid for. Bunch of clowns.

THE DEMS WILL NOT VOTE FOR THE WALL WITHOUT DACA.

Everything else is noise.

Congress approves the funds, not the use of Eminent Domain. You really should at least try to do some research on a subject before offering details. TheRedneck

Yeah im with you.....I keep hearing this stupid excuse from the left too...."They are going to grab land from owners on the border"

More parroting what they hear on the net, or social media.......

Any body with any sense and experience knows it will work just like any other Utilitiy, be it Power lines, Transmission lines, or anything else......its not a land grab theyll just run a right of way thoroughfare and call it good......

Clinton could not finish his wall because the landowners sued to stop a wall being built on their property. The lawsuits are still active in the courts. The Dems will not vote for the wall because evidence shows it can't be built anyways. unless of course you want to steal property from landowners. So basically by continuing to call for a Wall, Republicans are saying they are going to take the land regardless of what the landowners want. Quite funny when Republicans argue against the government taking anything form the citizens against their will.

They need to be willing to discuss it first. Which they aren't. How can anyone offer DACA in exchange for the Wall if they aren't willing to even consider DISCUSSING any possibility for the wall period?

Considering that Democrats place more value on the well-being of citizens in other countries

Who's the president of Puerto Rico?

That’s really not the point here, although Puerto Rico is very proud of their heritage and divided as to whether they want to be a state of the union. I was wondering if the trip was on the taxpayer dime while Trump is working in the WH.
Democrats have proven that they want whatever is against Trump.

Here you go.
Reword: meanwhile the president sits at his work station, tweeting out truths, and waiting for democrats to bend to the iron will of United States Citizens.

Have you been paying attention? Trump walked out of a meeting with Pelosi and Schumer. Why would Democrats come back to the table when all the polls show that the majority of voters blame Trump for the shutdown? There's no incentive for them to come back. Trump's not willing to give any consolation and the public blames Trump.... I thought he was supposed to be a good negotiator but he has no leverage here. He has to offer a bone with some meat on it to bring the dogs back to the kennel.

He walked out because they weren't willing to even discuss any option that would allow for the wall. All he asked was to discuss it and they refused to even discuss considering it.

Unfortunately spin has placed it all on Trump when it's on both sides.

F$#@ that, Americans don't want our President to have to BRIBE democrats to accept security at our border. Dems have no grounds to deny this. They are acting like children, can't let Trump accomplish this, that is their only goal.

He's not above using threats and strong arm tactics... why not some incentive? That's how politics works in the US. Trump is being beaten at his own game. Don't for get that he owns this shutdown. This is what losing looks like.

They weren't willing to discuss his funding demands for a wall... tbe cost if which is heavily underestimated.

Without the willingness to enter discussions, discourse ends. To discuss something is not to agree to it, nor does it mean one has to capitulate to the request or demand. It just means one has to be willing and open to discussing it and considering it.

There is no reason anyone should EVER capitulate to someone who just plain shuts them down without even being willing to enter a discourse.

Well, I bet a lot of the federal employees are gone on trips too, some to their relatives, some to vegas. Getting some time off is so great for people who work the whole year....come to think of it, getting layed off on a seasonal job is great too. People must learn to budget and put away some money instead of blowing it on wants. Of course Our people who run the economy are willing to just lend people money and they love people in debt. People in debt are easier to control most times.

That is one thing wrong with politics. It's not about dem or Repub gains, it's about security for our country and it's citizens.

Don't forget that he owns this shutdown. This is what losing looks like.

Don't forget that it's just your opinion. We will have to wait to see what comes out of this mess right? No reason to argue here, it changes nothing really.

No this is what losing looks like www.ojjpac.org...

Dealing with the Democrats or most of Congress is like dealing with a family/friend who has taken out multiple loans from you and always promises to pay them back but never does.

If Trump caves just like with Reagan being promised border security, NOTHING will be done about border security. They don't want border security now that Trump wants it and in the past when they said they did it was just more lies and no action and that's the bottom line.

No...that's not my opinion... Trump owns it... he said so himself.... for once he was telling the truth.

Republicans love to say it's all about security and safety of US citizens but completely ignore the domestic terrorist problem.

Republicans couldn't care less about the 45,000 people who die (preventable deaths) annually because they have no health care/insurance.

Republicans refuse to fund election security improvements.

Trump refused to sign the spending bill approved by Republican majority House and Senates... which included paired appropriations for defense and a big chunk of domestic agencies.

I'm not arguing... I'm pointing out the obvious. You can keep your head buried in the sand if you wish.

No... If the Dems cave in it will set a precedent... that the POTUS can circumvent due process and strong arm his policies without regard for the checks and balances set in place by the founding fathers.

The dumb-ass painted himself into a corner.... where he sits and tweets... meanwhile the country is going down the #ter and people are pissed... and they blame him.
