50 Years Ago Today Led Zeppelin Released Their First Album.

Yeah, along with Pink Floyd (and even the Stones and the silly, silly Beatles) they are etched into my mind so I can recall every note and don't play them much, anymore. They are the best straight ahead "Hard Rock and Roll" band.

Getting elderly sucks... but it just might beat dying young.

Great album by a legendary band. Been listening to How Many More Times recently. It is a song from that album.

Been meaning to stop by and post this picture, but I had to take a photo of it and upload it first. It's hanging in my art room, but the original was given the drummer in the band while he was getting in the limo after at the Tall Cool One concert in Atlanta in '88. He promised to give it to Robert Plant. (Now of course I could kick myself for giving away the original and keeping the print, but ah well, the joy was in the journey of painting it. My first oil painting and I painted thru the night like a woman possessed, while listening to Led Zepplin II on repeat, until daylight dawned and I came out of my trance-like state. Good Times!
