The author missed it and smashed his thumb... all of the examples the author gives to prove his point have been debunked multiple times... but see you wouldn't be aware of this as you never leave your echo chamber.

One of the biggest logical falsies of the left is to use bias propaganda and to present it as fact. Like Trump university...one can say it was a failed idea, or one could say Trump went out of his way to swindle innocent people. Anyone of us can paint whatever picture we want of any President by just changing up the words just a little to the same event.

As example the left had zero problems with Clinton bonking women all over the white house as the sitting President, even to the point of rape, but Trump playing around 12 plus years ago is an impeachable offense.

OP your point is moot as you agree with each example of the author. In the end we just want someone to accomplish the things he said he would do, and Trump has been trying hard to do that, unlike Obama who literally went 180 degrees on what he promised and what he ended up doing.

As far as smarts go, I find it funny that a good percentage of the Democratic party is those who have not been able to create a basic level of living in their whole life, and though a small percentage is due to things out of their control, a big part is due to poor life choices and low education/skills, so be careful where you look for "smarts" you might be surprised who is actually lacking them...

Yup. More specifically, it is the left is often very shallow in their analyses of "facts" and information. They take everything at face value instead of thinking critically or asking for more detailed information. As such, it is easy to manipulate them with half truths.

You see this all the time across any number of issues. I mean, take your pick.

Pay Gap for Men and Women. 99% of scientist believe in global warming. Gun violence. Taxes. I mean, you name the topic, we can show how the left takes specious data or facts that is easily debunked with a critical eye and runs with it as fact.

I'll let you guys decide who the lion and sheep are.

The sheep are the people that follow the Shepard of lies and tweets!

why are blue states richer?

the number one employer of most red states is Walmart. lol

Blue states richer, LOL. What states might you be referring to? Surely not the blue states that have billion dollar deficits?

California: 106 billion
New York: 58 billion
Illinois: 32 billion
New Jersey: 29 billion

They are sinking. Probably already past saving as the net population of those states is declining as people escape the ridiculous taxation levels. New York and Illinois are among the fastest shrinking states.

Yep, this is a conspiracy site and that accounts for much of the biases here, the notion that Trump is anti-establishment.
And this is the very conspiracy that some of us here are trying to discuss, Trump's image as anti-establishment when in reality he is just as establishment as others are believed to be. He revels in this image and in it he finds his power.
Keep his people thinking it is the liberals and socialists that are the establishment and he can use all their revolutionary zeal to fight against the falseness of modern society.

Seriously a fair argument.

Would you then address that why establishment media in all forms are overwhelmingly against Trump?

And I can definitely understand your sentiment and agree with parts of it.

I was merely vocalizing how I make sense of the environment we see, not validating it.

Trump is anti-establishment. The establishment Republicans hate Trump as much as the Democrats.

Trump has never been part of that club. Trump is about as anti-establishment as we will see in our lifetime.

Does trump get his whole term to make his promises come true?
Obama had 8 years and failed on alot of them.
Or is trump required to get everything done in 2 years?

That is true. Obama himself said that if he failed on some of his things, like the economy, which he did, then he'd be a one term president, and then he got two terms! So obviously liberals can be very forgiving when they want to.

LOLOL

"Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible," Trump said.

incredible? more like sad and pathetic. lol

That's just pure laziness on your part, man. I laid it all out in front of you so you could see the context of everything and you still missed it, unless you're just being obtuse. Find your integrity.

"You know what else they say about my people? The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that?"

As I say repeatedly. Right wingers lie, they lie all the time, it’s what they do. a reply to: LSU2018

Again, soundguy:

Psychological projection is a defense mechanism in which the human ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.

For example, a person who is habitually lying may constantly accuse other people of lying.

True the condition is real and exists, but it also doesn't remove the fact that some are actually lying..

I've done that before. I've put myself in the shoes of a liberal/leftist/snowflake/progressive and I've tried to find reasons to think like they do and act like they do, I play it all out in my head to make sense of why y'all look so unAmerican to us. And you know what conclusion I came to? I came to the conclusion that when I mentally leave my body and insert my mind into the body and soul of the left, it is then that I realize why they call me a racist, homophobe, stupid, dumb, unintelligent, islamophobe, hateful, bigoted, misogynist, angry, bitter, etc. etc... I was able to determine, with my out of body experience, that the left are simply defending themselves against unconscious impulses or qualities by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.

Thanks for such an awesome post.

It boggles my mind how so called Christians, can overlook tenant after tenant of their religion to justify their support. These aren’t really grey areas that can be debated.

Here is one thing I can tell you for certain. I live in a pretty red area, and recently traveled with a large group of right wing movers and shakers. The one name I didn’t hear one time was trump. There were a lot of what I’ll call left leaning independents in Ohio that voted for trump, they are now lost to him. You would have thought the blue wave would have been a clue. But they are doubling down. It’s not a party it’s a cult.

You hit on one of the reason I’m not pleasant to them (the board rwnj’s). They aren’t Honest, I’ve tested them time and time again, they fail the honesty exam. They are mostly trolls reinforcing the stupid upon their fellow wallnuts.

I secretly held out hope that bluster was just that, and once he took over the “genius” would come out. The deal maker, the guy that would throw his arm around Schumer in a press conference and say look at a the deal we made, I’m the greatest. Instead, (if his own departed best and brightest can be believed) we have a guy that can’t even grasp the big picture if he wanted to. He’s freaking illiterate.

I hate to say it, but suddenly Romney is looking like a sane choice for 2020.

The real damage trump is doing won’t be revealed for a while. It’s a lagging indicator.

I believe author nails it. I don’t consider myself a liberal. Well in the sense that I suspend my deductive reasoning and life experiences for a political subset. None the less, I agree with his observations. The one thing that isn’t addressed in the article is how a small percentage of well meaning Americans have been conned. Kinda like my next door nieghbor. He listens to am hate radio by day and it has poisoned his thought process. While he is busy hating and fearing people he doesn’t know. His fellow white conservative, (cough....), brethren are about to destroy his way of life. Unfortunately, he will never see it coming, and that’s sad.

How do you mean? He's here posting in ATS (a majority MAGA echo chamber)....

I've watched a lot of democrats and anti-Trumpers change and start liking Trump. That's probably why this looks like a MAGA echo chamber to you. Nearly every forum and comment section looks like a MAGA echo chamber now. That's because the majority of Americans are pro Trump. Whether it was your intention or not, thanks for pulling your own Jim Acosta.

I'm not sure what you think you've proven....

Do you frequent any non-MAGA echo chambers? I do, and boy howdy you'd get an entirely different assessment of Trump's support on those forums. Are you really proclaiming some wide ranging growth in support of Trump merely by assessing responses on ATS forums?......

No. This isn't the only forum I'm a member of. Plus I love reading the comments on political articles on every website besides the ones that house Trump in their heads, daily, free of charge.

MY take on the msm is that they are against Trump because they are pro status quo and not so much conservative or liberal.
They are blood suckers that depend upon a steady supply of consumers to support their profit line through advertisement.

The '' liberal media'' caters to one side of the political spectrum while the ''conservative media'' caters to the other.
Status quo. Keep it producing revenue. To my mind, the establishment is the status quo.
