The one thing that isn’t addressed in the article is how a small percentage of well meaning Americans have been conned

Kind of like when a group of people were conned into believing the following:

1. Cheating in your own party to elect the least liked candidate to be your representative , as a good idea?

2. Selecting an individual that is under criminal investigation to represent your party, as a good idea?

3. Selecting a individual that has more scandals, trust issues, and lies than her opponent as your lead candidate, as a good idea?

4. Thinking the meaning of the FBI was Federal Bureau of Inquiry?

5. Thinking a secret meeting on the tarmac with the Head of the DOJ who is currently investigating your spouse for illegal activity was to talk about grandkids.

Yep , pretty stupid alright.

I think a few people understood what I said, by quoting your reply. Not sure that you have, yet. But in the end it may not matter.

lol

why are blue states richer?

the number one employer of most red states is Walmart. lol

To answer your question:

If we measure by consumption patterns then it's the blue states that are poor, the red states that are rich:

Blue states, like California, New York and Illinois, whose economies turn on finance, trade and knowledge, are generally richer than red states. But red states, like Texas, Georgia and Utah, have done a better job over all of offering a higher standard of living relative to housing costs. That basic economic fact not only helps explain why the nation’s electoral map got so much redder in the November midterm elections, but also why America’s prosperity is in jeopardy.

Red state economies based on energy extraction, agriculture and suburban sprawl may have lower wages, higher poverty rates and lower levels of education on average than those of blue states — but their residents also benefit from much lower costs of living. For a middle-class person , the American dream of a big house with a backyard and a couple of cars is much more achievable in low-tax Arizona than in deep-blue Massachusetts. As Jed Kolko, chief economist of Trulia, recently noted, housing costs almost twice as much in deep-blue markets ($227 per square foot) than in red markets ($119).

How about you figure it out, since I'm supposedly the stupid one here. I seriously doubt you can though.

are broken promises the same as outright lies?

he told those soldiers he'd GOTTEN THEM a 10% raise, THAT HE ALONE FOUGHT FOR IT, ffs!

that was a bold faced lie, not a broken promise.

LOLOL

he said he had a middle class tax cut ready to roll out!! i haven't heard a peep of that.

what did "i could shoot someone and not lose support" mean?

Eh, I could frame that differently, ya see, it's all how you look at it.

If New York and California had to suddenly pay their debt, both states would have to collect over 20,000 per taxpayer.

If you want to get more fun, Illinois and New Jersey would have to collect over 50,000 per tax payer.

Personally, I'd rather have less money in a well run state than have more wealth that will eventually be collected due to my elected employees mismanaging money.

Perspective is fun.

Because of rich democrats. The best way to keep raping the poor is to pretend that they are their champions.

Never mind poor people that don't support them. Those are just "dumb" poor people. They deserve to be exploited.

Why do so many 1 and 3% ers support extreme liberal ideologies?

Ever ask that?

I do not believe they are stupid, BUT the blind loyalty to a dishonest person is a bit strange. Some of the things he says that are utterly and completely false yet his supporters back him wholeheartedly. For instance the WALL, illegal immigration is at a 20 year low yet this is so important that its a national emergency, if it is a national emergency why did he not declare it as such as soon as he set foot in the White House. Not being able to agree on terms of funding it is not an emergency.

Does trump get his whole term to make his promises come true?
Obama had 8 years and failed on alot of them.
Or is trump required to get everything done in 2 years?

Why aren’t Democrats riding Trump on his failed (so far) campaign promise to “Lock her up?” Pelosi should really drive that front and center.

He treats us like fools?

You mean like the lying leftists who conned you all into buying that Russia BS? How about the "Russian Bot" nonsense you were pushing on here (but then suddenly shut your mouth about) ?

You were had. Your own people HAD YOU. They TOOK YOU. they made a fool out of you and others who pushed the insane "Russian bot" lies.

Only one group knew it was a lie at the time: The intelligent RW patriots

Only one group fell for the lie hook, line and sinker: The knee-jerking reactionary grossly under-informed left

No matter what it takes etc...

so, you think he'll get that 10% raise for the military that he already claimed he got and it wouldn't be a lie anymore..

it wasn't a promise it was a lie.

i don't personally think trump supporters are stupid, i think they've been conned. most here, tho, have lost all integrity. which is sad because integrity is so sexy.

i 100% beleive he expects you not to question him, which in turn makes you look foolish.

It means exactly what he said.

The President isn't wrong. Has nothing to do with loving Trump though, and everything to do with hating/despising the smug, arrogant, condescending, fake ass left.

There is absolutely nothing - no action or word - that would change my mind. With him til the end, simply because you all are the alternative. And no matter what he does, he can't be any worse than leftist garbage and failed socialism.

This way, at least our Constitutional rights are in-tact. The only thing most of us have ever cared about. Not this fringe, wedge, special interest BS the left likes to harp on.

Do you believe the dems will approve the raise if he puts the paperwork in front of them?

And why didn't the left question obama when he did bother about border security?

It's the same situation no?

And dont rope me in with every trump defender.
I just want him judged in the same way obama was.

1st rule of the politician club, is you don't lock up your own.

What cracks me up is that Hillary was so hated that "Lock Her UP" was one of the more successful campaign slogans.

I believe author nails it. I don’t consider myself a liberal. Well in the sense that I suspend my deductive reasoning and life experiences for a political subset. None the less, I agree with his observations. The one thing that isn’t addressed in the article is how a small percentage of well meaning Americans have been conned. Kinda like my next door nieghbor. He listens to am hate radio by day and it has poisoned his thought process. While he is busy hating and fearing people he doesn’t know. His fellow white conservative, (cough....), brethren are about to destroy his way of life. Unfortunately, he will never see it coming, and that’s sad.

I absolutely love the psychological projection and irony of this OP. Especially your last sentence.
