What on earth are you talking about? Not a single wall has "worked" ever in America? How can you say this and believe it? What source can you cite? Or perhaps it's a belief of yours? Or you have a very unique definition of "work".

If we want to assert belief as fact that does t seem to be the path of our intellectual betters as you want to believe you are, I can assert a few FACTs about beliefs.

Belief is founded in emotion
Belief exist in spite of factual, citable counter evidence
Belief can motivate people to behave in immoral, dangerous ways
Beliefs invoke a sense of sprituality, perhaps an "inner truth" from those that hold them like the immovable truths on God who does (or doesn't) exist, and who's "God" is "right"

"I believe in a thing called love... just listen to the rhythm of your heart..."

I guess it depends on what the meaning of work is. Do they think it is a failure if it stops 70% of the people who come in. Do they think it is a failure if only one person gets over? In any event it is design to stop entry for a percentage and delay entry for the other percentage.

The sociological part is some person is in their home country and someone say boy America has a big wall now, they do not want us to illegally come there, and so the person never even tries in the first place...We can say the wall stopped them too.

CNN’s Jim Acosta mocked for accidentally proving that border walls work

CNN’s Jim Acosta was mocked across social media on Thursday for posting a video that was meant to downplay President Trump's claims of a border crisis -- but ended up supporting his argument that border barriers improve security.

“Here are some of the steel slats that the president’s been talking about,” Acosta said while reporting from the southern border. “But as we’re walking along here, we’re not seeing any kind of imminent danger.”

The CNN reporter added, “There are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence.”

Did you see the pictures, of border wall prototypes, cut with a common metal saw?

like there won't be cameras and repair + agents arriving? Maybe if they can speed saw and walk through in minutes you'd have a point.

EDIT: PS Besides minor modification with those materials used in saw-proof max security locks can be used. Even firefighter saws were basically destroyed trying to open one of mine, and it took them like an hour. Keep in mind less than an inch thick shackle, a wall will have multi-inch, easy, basically making it uncrackable if the right materials are used.

The President is forcing SOME of THEM to Crack Under the Political Pressure he is Exerting on them Right Now . Let's See who " Bilnks " First .......

I don't buy it for one second. Schumer, and Pelosi for sure, never hid their politics and intentions. The center/right dems should have fought back harder if they have buyers remorse.

Castles prove walls do not work.

Have your ever seen a castle with a wall..... of course not!

Then why did Mexico build a wall on their southern border?

Some of the most secure facilities in the country don't have walls.

Think about that.

Like prisons?

How secure do you think a prison would be with the same amount of guards in their same positions if we removed the wall? Hmm?

Do you think it would be no less secure? It's really astounding the stupidity in this thread and among people making the argument that walls are ineffective.

The country isnt just a little secure building, it is huge and needs something wirh a broader reach (sad that something so basic has to be pointed out).

Regarding the "walls are ineffective" talking point:

Liberal/globalist mantra is that the mass movements of peoples is an unstoppable historic force. And since it is pointless to attempt to control immigration, we shouldn't even be trying.

The truth is, illegal immigration is a complex construction of the liberal elite, who have to spend serious energy to maintain it.

if walls DID work, liberals would be exposed in their efforts to harm American society, particularly the minorities who are already here legally.

The truth is, illegal entry CAN BE halted. They just don't want to stop it.

You're right it was just a really tall barbed wire chain fence complete with guard towers and armed guards.

Here is a logic question for you.
If we removed the wall of a prison and left the guards as they are, do you think the prison would be more secure, less secure or no change?

It would be logistically impossible to build 2000 miles of a prison wall type structure and then have it constantly physically monitored, like they do in prisons... So your question is irrelevant.

I literally went of my way to edit my original post to answer your question, just for your benefit. Even though it was kind of a ridiculous question, which didn't really deserve a response.

Your welcome.

Uh, snopes is not a reliable source.

Raul Diaz said himself in 2010 they were going to build the wall along the Guatemalan border. Obama even gave him $75 million worth of support and equipment to do so.

It would be logistically impossible if we were asking local police to patrol areas of the border along with their daily routes, for example. But we have a specific agency tasked for this job. The left has stated they open to monitoring the border with people and technology, so they don't think its logistically impossible..
