A plausible reason why Rod Rosenstein is choosing to leave now, vs last year, or down the road..

BREAKING: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein leaving his Justice Department job ahead of a Justice Department inspector general's report on the alleged misuse of FISA warrants against Trump advisers by Justice officials --including one signed by Rosenstein himself

Source: twitter.com...

and we were just talking about people getting run down by trains........seems rosenstein heard the whistle

I am not really interested in a long distance relationship, thanks all the same.

Punctuation may have helped you there.

Maybe if he leaves government, Rosenstein will be better insulated from losing his pension. Former Asst FBI Director Andy McCabe forfeited most of his lifetime pension because he stuck around, and allowed himself to be fired from Government service.

Talk about a futile effort! Republican House investigators are ONCE AGAIN trying to get Rosenstein in to testify, before he sails off into the sunset.

Source: thehill.com...

Two attempts last year didn't work. Rod gave them the middle finger. Now, Republicans are the minority in the U.S. House.

If the Senate Judiciary, led by Lindsay Graham, were to subpoena Rosenstein, that would work!

He has however said he will stay until Mueller has completed his investigation. So perhaps we can look forward to the end and the outcome sooner rather than later?

what exactly do you want him to testify about?

ONLY ABC is reporting that Rosenstein will leave when Barr is confirmed as AG.

ONLY NBC is reporting that Rosenstein will leave after Mueller issues his report.

Rosenstein hasn't uttered a word about it. Maybe he's not leaving at all, or maybe he's leaving very soon.

One thing would be if Rosenstein was serious about wearing a wire to entrap the President. Another would be why he signed an illegally obtained FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign associates.

Congressman Jim Jordan says other things have surfaced since Mid-December that Rosenstein needs to address.

He denied it with a telling knee-jerk reaction.

A "guilty" reaction.

He is a bitter patron.

Well that OP stung some people it seems.

As long as one remembers that President Trump is used to operating in this way.

Need a job done, get the best guy possible.

Job done, well done, thanks, bye bye.

Next person does a different special job.

Use the best.

Keep 'em guessing.

Great show.

Ya know...when you put it that way... It makes total sense how almost all of his business ventures went bankrupt.

6 bankruptcies out of approx 500?

That's 1.2% failure rate.

Yes indeed. Their wives are members of 2 or 3 of the same clubs, and socialize together. William Barr has great respect for Bob Mueller, and visa-versa.

President Trump picked Bob Barr, in part, because the two men get along so well.
edit on 1/14/2019 by carewemust because: (no reason given)
