MAYOR DE BLASIO ANNOUNCES HEALTH CARE FOR ALL NYC RESIDENTS

link

NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio is announcing Tuesday that the city is rolling out a program to provide health care to all New York City residents, including undocumented immigrants.

He acknowledges that this issue should be dealt with my the federal or state governments ... but in the face of their inaction he is taking it upon himself to solve the problem of health care for all his cities residents... including undocumented immigrants.

He has not provided any information on how he is going to keep the system solvent.

Other issues, homelessness, the subway systems, public housing are falling apart and being neglected due to lack of funds... Yet Deblasio is going to come up with money to give undocumented immigrants and everyone else free health care?

    Great!

Now everyone can see how socialism will collapse the system when it fails.

    And if it succeeds?

Then everyone can say "I told you so".

I'm sure those who can afford to do so will ... leaving the rest of us middle class folks to foot the bill.

And those people who can afford to leave will move to Houston and get to work doing the same thing there.

We have more than enough examples of socialism failing.

And when they tell us it wasn't "real" socialism, then they are left holding an empty bag with zero evidence that socialism works...

This is why leftists are so stupid when it comes to the embrace of socialism.

NYC already has exorbitant taxes and sky high cost of living. Considering there is no mention as to how the city is supposed to pay for this, I predict it will drive the city further into fiscal doom.

Another article talking about how the increase of minimum wage to $15/hr is causing some smaller businesses in NYC to scale back hiring or automate.

If I didn't have to pay for health insurance, I'd have a lot more I could contribute to taxes.

Even upon collapse you'll hear the people exclaim it's paradise, like the lush valley of De Nile.

If I didn't have crippling vices (semi exaggerating), I'd have a lot more I could contribute to taxes, but I really wouldn't want to.

This.......just doesnt seem realistic to me. They are leaving out key details. Also, the article contradicts itself. In one sentence they say "Free Health Care for Every NY resident" then they say "600,000 uninsured NY'ers will now have health care, and it will be affordable on a sliding scale." So, which is it? Free health care for all, or a sliding scale so poor people can afford it.

Are the hospitals cool with this? Are the insurance companies cool with this? Are the laws cool with this? The city budget?

I'll take things that will never happen for 500, Alex.

" All services will be affordable on a sliding scale."

The way I read this, it will get A LOT more expensive for some people.

Are gunshot and stab wounds excluded from coverage?

Would probably make it fiscally possible then.

It does, you racist! If it wasnt for President Trump meddling we'd all be immortal by now thanks to Obamacare. Nevermind that most plans have such a high out of pocket and deductible that you might as well not have it in the first place!
