Here is something weird to chew on.
I was in an online discussion about indy sci fi flicks, and "Monsters" came up.
"Monsters" is a movie about an alien lifeform "invasion" so to speak.
It's a great film that has a terribly sad ending, in fact it was one of three movies my ex wife rented at one time, all were great but had terrible endings.
Anyway we watched the movie and it was very good, so good that when a friend was visiting from out of town, xmas time 2006,we rented it again, from the blockbuster around the corner.
There in lies the problem,

Monsters (2010)
R   |  94 min   |  Drama, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Six years after Earth has suffered an alien invasion, a cynical journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through an infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the U.S. border.

Monsters

So, you see what the problem is.
There is no way I could have watched the movie when I did, but I did.

Have you ever watched 'Escape from New York'?

Don't, you won't like it.

Possibly it is a movie made by a Seer. They are half way there now.

Weird
The sound of the motorcycle in escape from New York was that of my barber's BSA. A friend of his was the Folley artist on the film. They recorded the sound of it on a little road that was in the country outside of town, road is gone and it's been city for 30 years.

This may be an international region, localization issue.

Could we acquire you friend, for a testimonial statement?

Would need verification of your claim.

Hmmm, is this another Mandela effect type thing? Strange indeed.

Another mistake made by human memory.

Very unreliable.

I need the translation key, without it, I can't make sense of this thread.

Well the OP I can, but the subsequent replies lead me to believe I'm just missing the cipher.

We interchange times and events in our memories all the time. Funny thing about memory, is that you are not remembering an event. You are remembering, remembering it. Every single moment of every single day, adds more for you to remember. The gist of things we remember stay with us... but details will always change.

You'll discover one day that either the human mind is easily misled, or that there are things around us, behind the scenes, that know we can sometimes see what they're doing. And they don't care. Or I've been misled, perhaps.

I've seen this before with movies. I believe it is a simple bookkeeping/clerical issue like taking the last copyright date or when it was released in a region or a particular version (director's cut etc.). While unnerving (I can't recall which movie I had it happen, but it was very confusing), it is something mundane, I believe, rather than some effort to mess with people or time slip.

Like with some of the other posters, it may of been a remake of the same movie, few minor changes like they do with reprints of a book. If it is doing your head in look into a bit more, there is always a reason.

When you described the film I thought I thought I knew which one you meant but reading the description it sounded like a different one. Or is it?
In the one I mean [and its also called Monster[s]] it is a kind of found footage in a barn and they have an alien in there and it's pretty good.
I think my film is from around 5 years ago.

Hang on I'll check.

Can't find my one now. Just looked through 100 of films with the name Monster[s] and nada.

Maybe it wasn't called that at all. Does anyone remember the one I described?

Sorry for the useless comment.

You could be living a deja vu. Not just a feeling but actually living it, like some kind of loop. There have been times I suspected that happened to me.

Maybe you saw this movie with your ex-wife:

Women, especially ex-wives, have a very strange effect on men. For example, when my first wife left me to move in with a guy she had on-line chat relationship with she took $30,000 out of our checking account. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to see my 1/2 of the $30,000 anytime soon. A couple of years after our divorce she calls me up like we are going to be chumming friends. You know, chat online. I wasn't interested and never talked with her ever again. About 10 years later when Facebook was all the rage I found her Facebook page. Now here's where it gets really strange. The guy she was with, I'm assuming the same guy she left me for, looked like my identical brother! And she had a dog that looked like a carbon copy of the dog we had together. Btw, she got the $30,000, I got the dog. I loved that dog. She took her cats with her. No great loss with her taking the cats.

The point is women eff-up your mind!
