However....most on welfare are likely democrat voters

Deny ignorance, please.

16 of the top 20 welfare states are red.

That's one way of looking at it. Here's another:

I believe we have plenty of food regardless of welfare stopping. U.S. citizens also donate over $400 billion per year to charities. Probably nearly half of our food is thrown in the trash anyway. I'd have no problem giving some food to the welfare recipients I know. How about you? I think the most effected will be grocery stores, maybe soda/snack/sweet companies & beef/poultry companies. Whose going to pay for the gas to get these millions of people to DC? Its also illgeal to carry a firearm in DC. Whose gonna pay for the ammo? I think they'd probably eat each other 1st. Congress along with Trump will be long gone. They'd probably all be on a private island somewhere watching everything unfold on CNN.

I wonder ... how many of those starving mothers are going to spend that money to get to DC instead of feeding their hungry children? And if they do, what does that say about why they have hungry children?

Do really think that appropriate transportation would not be provided, free of charge, by “interested parties” (and, it will be argued, that the cost of such transportation is but an insignificant fraction of the necessary funds being held “hostage”).

I do not believe that you are that guileless.

What you actually mean isn't "welfare", but that blue states pay more in taxes and red states receive more federal money.

The obvious debunks aside ( google is your friend) , I had an honest question.

The Democratic ideology seems to be taxing the rich and giving to those that are not.

So taking from rich states and giving the federal money to poor states.... isn't that the same idea?

Again, what mother wouldn't wonder why someone would spend that money to ship her and her hungry children to DC instead of spending that money to help feed them?

Oh, that's right -- one who doesn't think much to begin with which is why it's much easier to let the government feed you and not plan ahead for emergencies like many of the rest of us do.

Ha.

My aunt had us use these to buy cheap candy and give her the change for cigarettes.

Most of the recipients live in Blue districts.

The facts are undisputed.

The first thing that will happen, on Feb 1, 2019, when the money for food stamps are not there, will be anger. Oh people will blame everyone else for this, and some will have regret. That being the regret and anger of not having money to get any more junk food, and then after that, will come fear and panic. The panic of an empty belly and children crying from hunger.

And when it gets worse, with no resolution, the first thing will be those that will mass steal and loot, for what ever reasons, and those who are say working a register, their lives will be in danger from such. As desperation starts to set in, then bands of people with gather together and thus starts a far worse situation.

Again, as I said, Trump can legit declare a national emergency in those circumstances, build the wall, and tell Congress to get their job done at that point there would be zero reason not to.

I remember it well. Cut a chunk of that and eat it straight up. You will eat anything when you are hungry. Not the tastiest stuff.

LOL because someone didn't read the paper.

It was based on a survey.

Why would they go to DC?

Any threat on DC would see the place locked down and all transportation would be reserved for the people that matter to government. I imagine it would be protocol to have all key parts of gov evacuated and/or secured ASAP.

I'm basing this on the old protocols of what would happen if DC was threatened, systems designed to ensure a working government in the case of a nuclear attack. It applies to other scenarios though.

I can only imagine the plans in place today, those in the know won't be sharing such details but rest assured any threat to the workings of government will be taken seriously.

To think otherwise would be stupid, millions on the streets of DC?

Millions dead on the streets of DC.

People are insignificant to the greater scheme. The US government cannot collapse, there'll be no lynching of Congress or President.

People who want/need government are practically socialists anyway.
Let's sit back and let them enjoy their own version of life in a socialist country after the inevitable collapse.

The same way they don't have food money but, they have money to get their nails and hair done. That's how they'll have gas money.
