my argument was that we can't really understand what is going on in regard to the male/female reltionships unless we acknowledge the part the past has
played within it. and the religious beliefs of that time played a bigger role when it came to defining what that male/female relationship was. after
all... many of those who seem want to reject the idea that the past isn't relevant to this description, that what I call religious oppression against
women doesn't deserve consideration are probably also the ones that are more than likely proclaiming the US as a "christian nation" as they try to
defend their attempt to reclaim that non-existent pre 1960 world they see portrayed on leave it to beaver and other similar tv programs of old.
