Concrete Walls are just STUPID. You can't see through them and blinding border security is just stupid and dangerous.

The vast majority of open border can be monitored for .001% the cost of a wall with automated drones with Computer Vision.

The drones fly a route and return to station for charging, while the next drone has already launched. When people are spotted trying to cross, border patrol gets a precise GPS location and video of how many, if armed or carrying cargo, can cue the drone to follow until Border Patrol arrives etc. We have had the Technology for over a decade and it improves every year.

Border security? Yes.

Taxpayer dollars for very, very dumb Campaign stunt? No.

If either side was serious about border security we wouldn't have 20 million illegals in this country now. Lets be real they aren't serious about border security wall or otherwise.

But that's beside the point; you're right that the wall was breached by military invaders. But I thought the argument was that the caravans Trump''s wall is supposed to stop are not military? Now they are likened to an invading army, because a wall might not hold up to an invading army?

You actually corroborated the argument that "Mad Dog" Mattis gave, that fortifications alone are folly against an armed opponent in a military conflict. If we were being attacked by the Mexican army, we better have our own army down there; otherwise the wall is an inconvenience at best. Against a civilian invasion, however, a wall works quite well. That's the type of invasion we are dealing with.

Doesn't work

Technology does nothing to physically prevent border crossing.

As it stands now, if they make it past the barricade CBP lets them enter illegally and then takes them into custody to initiate removal proceedings. But they are still let into the country, and can freely abscond to a sanctuary city where they are far less likely to be picked up and repatriated to their country of Citizenship.

With a wall/large fence you can prevent the actual entry. The other alternative would be using technology, but giving border patrol the ability to prevent their crossing the border. We don't have open borders. You can't enter the United States without permission from the United States. We need to enforce our border. Not allow countless individuals to take advantage of our obviously flawed/broken legal system

But even more telling than the fact you made that error is the fact that once you try to introduce God into a discussion on the wall, apparently trying to prop up Pelosi's latest excuse for an argument that a wall is somehow "immoral," you then try to dispute the fact that the Bible was divinely inspired, and then that God even exists.

He fails to recognize the lack of jobs to feed americans is not because the mexican illegals are willing to be next to nothing for the low level jobs but that americans are not willing to work towards earning more. It doesn't help that individuals sitting on cash don't have to do a damn thing but spend money to earn more. That is the problem. Using your money to make more money should be illegal. If you wish to pay someone to do a job okay, but blindly throwing money at a company for gains is ridiculous.
