People who play music for elephants have noticed that the elephants really like classical music. These pachyderms have excellent taste.
They will often wave their trunks and sway to the music.

I love the one with the swaying elephants. It's such a shame these smart creatures are facing doom.

Behold! The Thai Elephant Orchestra! (avant garde ahem)

I loved the Blues elephant that one really seemed to have fun. I'm not so sure about the other two, they look more like they'd attack if there wasn't a fence inbetween.
And the last one why didn't he play along?

Haha "orchestra" more like cacophony...are they trained to do this to entertain tourists? Like Suda? Amazing animals.

It was like a Tibetan prayer bell symphony i.e. a bloody racket. The Suda video is much better, but let's face it, it's no spaceship schematic is it?

If you watch closely, the other one in the 3rd video is shaking his or her booty... about 12 seconds into the vid... it's funny.

The Blues elephants are both really into it. No wonder it's better music than classic

Thank you so much for posting this!!!

The blind elephant who likes the Beethoven seems to know when each section ends. Each time, he stops moving as if listening to see if it's going to continue. When it does he starts moving again as if he's happy.

I'm amazed seeing the elephants dance appropriately to the blues! They are bobbing their heads and bouncing, as opposed to the swaying of the more melodic Baroque pieces.

This is fantastic.

I want to trek over to the National Zoo now and play some stuff for the elephants! I wonder if the staff would let me?

Amazing. This restores my faith in humanity a little bit.
