That's a fair statement.

But experience cannot be denied.

For all the times Donald Trump failed, he succeeded a whole lot more.

What is the difference between the master and the beginner?

The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.

Even $50 Billion for border security is chump-change, compared to the cost of this Green New Deal.

I don't see where AL GORE has endorsed it. Jealous maybe?

You are ignorant. I see nothing in your excerpts that is Orwellian or crazy. Yea, ok, maybe the goal of 100% renewable in ten years is ambitious, but that doesn’t mean, as you say, that after ten years we’re just gonna make fossil fuels illegal and people are going to starve and freeze to death. That’s a ridiculous statement. Btw I have an extensive education in the economics, social issues, and technical aspects revolving around environmental technologies and policies. None of this is far fetched to anyone in the field, you just don’t know what you’re talking about.

To be clear I am not a leftist or whatever you want to call me.
I swear, and maybe I’m going too far here, but it’s posts like this (along with the top few comments giving cookie-cutter supportive responses) that make me think there must be shills on these sites to try and keep the public from understanding topics like this. The irrefutable evidence is out there. Why are people so against supporting ourselves with renewable energy (which has the byproduct of making us non dependent on foreign oil), and why would building an energy grid that doesn’t waste a ton of energy be a bad idea long term??

Oh I know. Maybe because the people who make trillions of of foreign wars and oil interests would not be able to justify the constant war in the Middle East if we don’t even need their oil. And maybe, just maybe, those people, who already control all mainstream media outlets, will find ways to infiltrate nonmainstream outlets such as ATS to convince even the so-called free thinkers to follow the herd like everyone watching FOX and MSNBC

No, that isn't true either. But I'm willing to bet you're not actually interested in the truth.

by age 3, Donald Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars from his father’s empire.

He was a millionaire by age 8.

By the time he was 17, his father had given him part ownership of a 52-unit apartment building.

Soon after he graduated from college, he was receiving the equivalent of $1 million a year from his father.

The money increased with the years, to more than $5 million annually in his 40s and 50s.

In all, financial records reveal, Mr. Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire.

This is patently false.

It has been his investment in bankruptcy attorneys that has brought him the greatest returns apart from the hundreds of millions his father gave him.

He has failed at most of his endeavors and left them to be scavenged by the bankruptcy courts after he absconding with investors funds.

If this were true he'd be in jail like Bernie Madoff.

I think most of what you accuse Trump of is simply being generated by you and the echo chamber you live in.

This is just his Casino and Hotels Business.

"During Trumps 13 years as Chairman, the company lost 1.1 Billion, wiping out investors. Trump did just fine though, he was paid 82 Million".

www.allmandlaw.com...

Not to mention his magazine, Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump Airlines etc. etc.

But you know this already.

The "Trump Organization" was the empire his father built and gave to him.

By 1990 trump had been also given 400 Million plus by father in personal funds.

400 Million invested in a do-nothing index fund in 1990 would be worth 4 Billion today (just in personal wealth).

You see what Trump claims his net worth is, but adding the Billions he lost of investors money plus his personal losses, he has LOST Billions of other peoples money and his net worth is a profound net loss.

Virtually EVERYTHING he has tried to do outside of the real estate holdings and empire his father gifted to him has been a huge loss.

Trump would be worth easily over 10 Billion if he had literally done nothing. Instead he managed to spend and lose other people's billions as well as the bulk of his own money and is worth about 3 Billion today.

Of that he carries at least another 1 Billion in debt.

Bernie Madoff stole money from individuals via an illegal pyramid scheme.

Trump stole money from Banks and institutional investors via the bankruptcy courts.

You can say if the law permits, who cares, but the "institutional investor" in his current scheme happens to be the US taxpayer.

Donald Trump has been running businesses, managing people, and making fiduciary decisions all of this life.

He was gifted those things by his father and has repeatedly failed at 90% of it.

His only gift has been exploiting other people's money and the bankruptcy laws.

Was he gifted money, or businesses? I'm confused which way the goal posts are moving this time. If it was money, well, the man had to grow that into something didn't he?

If it was businesses, then he's one among numerous others that were handed businesses from their fathers. Difference being he's famous and rich.

He "failed" only because he has the audacity to put his name on everything. Look up Bain Capital, Mitt Romney's outfit. They've failed many times, but you don't read "Mitt Romney Fails Again" headlines.

I don't think you understand how bankruptcies work.

I do believe we have already achieved energy independence and are now the #1 exporter of energy to other countries.

But that doesn't mean the greedy war mongers will ever stop invading the mideast and other countries to get their grubby mitts on their resources.

Who is it that is against removing troops from the mideast? And which "shills" here are you referring to who support the endless mideast wars?

I'd appreciate some clarification. I'm not understanding what actual argument you are trying to make here.

It's pretty hard to argue with better energy efficient buildings, as this is a evidence-based way all around to greatly reduce energy usage and costs. Whether from a pollution, cost, or even climate change perspective, it makes sense...

As far as smart grids, those too are much more modern systems that are able to better control and distribute energy in an efficient manner. No, our energy system currently is not sufficient, and much of the country's is outdated.

That does sound good. All we would need would be a government willing to spend more on infrastructure than foreign wars, foreign aid, corporate interests, and a surveillance state. We haven't had a government like that since before the Federal Reserve Bank.

Help with my gofundmyhorseranch page.

I used to wonder if I was smart enough to bother running for a public office.
Now I wonder if I'm dumb enough to fit in.
