One of the things I want to do more of is watch actual speeches from politicians rather than just get highlights from a media that is probably biased.

I figure while I am watching them, I would give my biased thoughts on those speeches!

So first up is Pelosi after being elected Speaker.

Although my opinions are intermingled, her whole speech is there to make up your mind.

My conclusion was i felt the speech contained empty platitudes and no specifics, which isnt unusual. I feel her calls of bipartisanship ring hollow after her refusal to give any money for a wall at all.

And mostly, I found the zero mentions of going after trump to be odd, seeing as how that is what she seems to spend most of her time talking about. Almost like she knows this isnt what the people want to hear.

Pelosi will end being one of the biggest failed Speakers of all time.

She will not be able to keep her goodgirl/badgirl mask a secret for long.

😎hello/goodbye😎

To me it doesn't matter who speaker is . The difference between partis on the surface is large , behind the curtain and off camera not so much . The system is broken and will not be fixed until the people of this country elect different people to congress or senate. The fact that these bozo's are being paid while the average worker is not is beyond absurd .

For once I agree with you. I don't see her being a much better Speaker than Paul Ryan.

The new speaker should be a Transgender, or (insert race here), or ( insert sexual preference here).

Instead of the same old rich, white # that was speaker last time.

Actually, no, it isn't "just because of partisanship." Pelosi has cost a lot of people in this country a lot of money, attacked freedoms, impacted our ability to provide for our families in multiple fields, among other things. If not for the fact that she carries the mantle of an "elected representative," her actions would be considered the same as any other thief, kidnapper, or domestic terrorist and she'd be in prison.
