I was talking about both.

a reply to: rickymouse Please stop with the drugs and terrorists like these are urgent problems and not the paranoid musings of a very uninformed leader okay?

You chose to absorb only what you needed.

I was more or less talking about the bad influence some of the illegal mexicans and other Hispanics coming over the border have on the youth of the good hispanic immigrants here in America. That is what that cut and paste out of context statement you posted was about. Cut and paste the whole paragraph, not just one sentence out of context, that kind of Ad hominum tactic does not bother me.

Drugs and terrorists are not the only bad coming across the border, don't be protecting the people who are badly influencing the hispanic youth.

How's that Wall coming along? That signature campaign promise from the president you know? Donny? Are we making headway? Sorry I've been out for a while and figured I stop by and get a bit of an update from you wonderful folks.

How's it coming along? I know, so many questiions right? Enquiring minds want to know.

How much again? $25 billion?

No no that's not right, it's $12 billion he wanted for the wall?

No?

No it's $5.7 billion he wants for the wall now right?

Gosh he's slipping ain't he? The Art of the Deal right? I haven't read the book so what do I know?

Is it even a wall now? Looks to me like a fence. Oh and he's shutting down the government now until he gets that $5.7 billion I take it? And he's blaming the Democrats now for the shut down I take it? Didn't he explicitly state he'd take responsibility for the shutdown he clearly planned to bring about?

Wait a minute. didn't Trump have a good 2 years of a GOP controlled house to get his fence going? He was more than happy to pass trillions in Corporate, wealthy tax cuts and the military funding so how could he not get his measily fence passed his own congress right?

Responsibility.

Personal responsibility.

We hear it on this forum a lot but people don't seem to want to practice what they preach. God forbid Trump take any responsibility right? And now here we are, in a government shutdown with thousands going through the holidays without a paycheck... all because mr Deal maker is having a tantrum because he can't make any deals... but we can't tell him to take responsibility as President.

Or maybe he never gave a damn about the wall and he's just saving face after 2 years of no action? I mean we can ask Vic torina Morales, an undocumented Guatemalan national who worked at one of his golf clubs.

Happy New Year folks. I look forward to spending another year with you all.

Mexico is paying for it! Old Uncle Donny said so! He said and tweets constantly "BELIEVE ME!!". So...I DO...NOT!

Remind the gov. employees that arent being paid right now...you know the ones being blackmailed and denied $$S for his lies!

Those Mexican pesos should be on their way "uno, momento"! Right behind the next caravan! Trump PROMISED!

YAY!!!!

The drugs arent coming across the desert they are coming by plane and by boat. No one is going to risk crossing the desert with the amount of drugs that would be needed to make it worth making the trip in the first place. You are living in the past just like grandpa trump.

I beg to differ, this article is proof of drugs coming across the border, and this addresses how much they actually got, not how much got through. cronkite.asu.edu...

Trump is a tea totaler, something I admire about him, so he has an honest wish to resolve the issues with cross border drug trafficking. If he is on the correct side of this issue then it would be the task of the US Central Intelligence Agency to provide covert resources. We saw how easily a large shipment of drugs bound for the US by plane was diverted by the CIA. Working with the governor of Puerto Rico the plane was simply taxied behind a wall.

Historically the US presidents have made executive decisions for the people without unanimous agreement at all levels (in the case that it was the correct decision). There should be some Democrats with insider information that know this is the correct decision. There realy can be no issue that actually breaks along party lines. Those democrats that know the truth will eventually see the harm in continuing the government shutdown.

On the other hand we have had US presidents such as JFK that were portrayed as too aggressive and their leadership was usurped by the covert agencies of the day. I can't honestly say that as a child I had a comprehensive oversight of the cold war, and its quite possible I don't understand what is going on with the wall issue either. If everyone understood there would never be a successful covert operation would there?

Presidents taking responsibility?

Oh, wouldn't that be nice!

GW Bush: "I accept full responsibility for the lies my administration and I told to get us involved in Middle East wars. The blood of everyone who died as a result in on my hands. The $50 billion a week we spent on those wars is my fault, as well as the billions we spend every year just on air conditioning over there. Therefore, I am placing myself and my administration in Federal prison for the rest of our lives. Our assets will be seized as will the assets of our descendants to help offset the debt we've placed on the American taxpayers."

Barack Obama: "I accept full responsibility for the lies I told to get Obamacare passed and for the financial harm that resulted from those lies. I also accept responsibility for the other lies I told about transparency, bringing troops home, closing Gitmo, etc. and for using government agencies as weapons against my detractors. I think it's only fair that I spend the rest of my life in prison and all my assets seized."

Donald Trump: "I will defer my apologies until I've finished my term and the full extent of any damage I have caused can be determined."

----------

You know, we're still spending over $20 billion a year just for air conditioning in Iraq and Afghanistan. If we bring those troops home, we could build a nice concrete wall, have billions left over, and all that money would stay right here in the US of A.

LOl like you are an expert. You have 0 clue if it will be effective.

Just an uninformed opinion from anther Trump said it so its bad guy.

Look at Australia... It's an isolated island 16000 kms away from where the coca plants grown and produced into coke. But nevertheless, anyone can get their hands on some over here if they really want too.

And you think a silly little fence is going to somehow slow down the flow... lol.

It will slow down the flow of illegals entering the country . Some of the most popular drugs are already grown here or made here .

It wont help with drugs that much I agree with that.

But it will slow illegal immigration How could it not?

no more john q citizen taking up space in jail. court time. police time.

thats a lot of time and effort that can go to other #.

Speaking of jail 20% is there on nonviolent pot crimes and 28% there are illegals that did some bad things... Seems we could cut the prison population in half here if we fixed both of these.

i just dont see how a wall is supposed to work.

If it was just a wall yes I agree, its like saying I don't see how my locked flimsy door would keep anyone out, but it does.

Obama with transparency

This is what I don't understand from the OP, so lets just compare this one campaign promise to Trump's. Obama said he would have the most transparent Government ever seen. EVERYTHING would be put forth to the American people BEFORE anything was signed, and what did we get, we got one of the most locked down Governments we have ever seen. Everything done in secret, with even FOIA completely locked down. This is so far 180 degrees it was not funny.

Now the OP is complaining about Trump not having his wall yet...you know that wall that Trump's talks about everyday, the same one that he is willing to give 3x Obama's DACA numbers to get, the wall he wants to start tomorrow to build with funding...

I can't even understand the OPs point...lol

when its your family being terrorised by some drug running mexican i hope you have the same snarky attitude.

Well, if nothing else, Trump certainly has sold his believers on the doomporn needed to get their support! We are apparently under imminent danger from the drug-running, murdering, job-stealing immigrants!

I laugh a little because isn't Australia where they put up thousands of miles of fencing to control rabbits?

But yuour point is well taken...

If someone wants to get drugs they will find someone willing to sell them some. Almost anywhere.

Ha ha...
First off not nearly the amount of money. Second Mueller is making progress... The wall well not so much.

How much do you get paid per post for this drivel? If Mueller actually had something, we would have seen something other than "lying to Congress" or financial crimes older than the Trump campaign. It's time to give up on that one. It's plain as day, Mueller has nothing.

Why are you always so salty?

I think it's absurd how you try to lambast him for not completing this one promise YET

it's absurd since it reminds us of the MAJORITY he did faithfully complete. It's also absurd since he is trying and not actually ignoring his promise.

Besides, we all want a border. It's a big deal for us because it's our resistance toward open borders.

Even without the wall, we have secured our nations interest in avoiding open borders. The wall is just an incarnation of that sentiment.

Democrats are unelectable. They ruined themselves.

They voted against border security in the age of terrorism. Next attack will be partly blamed on them. Good luck.

By the way, voting against self-defense, in general, is a losing proposition. You guys want us defenseless and exposed. That's a very dumb stance in our violent and mass migrating world.

In more peaceful times with no overpopulation sure. Now, it's retarded.

Its funny seeing people cry about it being a waste of money .

But the same people have no problem waisting $$$$$$$$ on the Mueller investigation for as long as they want.

Effing hypocrite cry babies.

If walls dont work do prisoners in prisons stay voluntarily?

So as long as money is being wasted equally its all good?

And prisons have more than one wall, as if they had only a singular wall they might not be as effective, oh and a roof helps also, so if you wish to be imprisoned then you will need 3 more walls and a roof

Here is what I don't understand. You say the wall would do nothing, so maybe you are an expert. You and others seem to be for open borders, and with no wall or a 6 foot wall that is what we get. You and others then complain we are not providing proper detention when they are caught even though we are talking about overwhelming the system in many cities to take care of 1000s, 10,000s...so doing the best we can with what we have that is not unlimited trying to deal with the flow that can be close to unlimited.

Many say they are so good for our county and they bring in 18 billion in taxes, this is said without also saying they cost you and I well over 100 billion per year even subtracting their taxes they might bring in, so the 5 billion is somehow a big deal, but 100 billion is not.

I think it would be nice to actually know what you want to be done and not be just orange man bad attitude. Remember all the liberal leadership said we need this all the way back in 2006 when they voted on it and up to even 2016, so what is the deal?

So you are saying to keep southern borders secured we need a square wall around the whole country? lol So we need a border wall along Canada to stop people from the south from coming in? There are invisible walls called mountains, vast desert land, ocean... unless you are assuming millions with nothing but maybe a small bag will have access to planes, boats, catapults etc... If those types got in then the other 90%+ would be stopped by the wall...I can live with that.

BTW much of the day for prisoners is spent in places with no roofs..just walls, man many must just fly away...

Sometimes you need a locked door 3 feet wide and sometimes you need one 700 miles wide in strategic locations... the other 1300 miles..good luck with that if one wants to hike it. The key is to make it very hard for the average person, just like maybe your house is setup to be.

Question folks.

How did we get from $25 billion to $5.7 billion?

How did we get from the Mexicans paying for the wall, to us getting the money from the Mexicans somehow to "we need tax payers to pay for the wall now!"?

How did we get from Wall to Fence?

All in a period of 2 years under a GOP controlled congress.

He managed to get $2 trillion passed in Tax cuts and military funding.... but no funding for his wall project?

It's those Democrats right?

Boy if don't meet my yearly performance review I guess I'll blame the Democrats too.
