California's New Pet law

If you love animals and care about them, and I would guess you would be that sort of person if you are going to make room in your family for a cat or a dog, then why would you want to buy one from a pet shop or a puppy farm?

It doesn't take much to get a cat or kitten from a rescue place or a proper, reputable breeder.
Same with dogs, if you can't visit and meet the parents, if you can't meet the people who own them, then something is fishy.

The only proviso would be when getting a rescue. I won't ever put a single penny in the greedy mitts of someone for whom money is more important than an animal's welfare.
