Yeah what I mean though is how long is it practical for that to last. Surely they can’t have this last months

The 2013 shutdown lasted 17 days and caused the GDP to shrink a tad.

I guess Dems never should've voted to shut down the government.

They didn't. Neither did the full Senate.

Less we forget trump assumed responsibility on live TV less than a week before he shut it down....

Which one did he veto? Did he veto a bill? How can he take responsibility if there was no bill to veto? lol. But...but...but he claimed responsibility... lol. Now you finally want to give him credit for something he claims responsibility for. lol.

He said he would not sign a bill which did not fund his wall.
Not signing a bill is the equivalent of a veto.

He took the mantle, but now he wants to pass it on.

I would emphasize the point that saying and doing are two obviously separte entities. Did he veto any bill?

Not signing a bill is the equivalent of a veto.

Schrodinger's Cat would say we cannot know, and again saying and doing are not the same thing.

He took the mantle, but now he wants to pass it on.

Did he say he wants to pass it on?

How do you think the government shut down is working out so far?

Shutdown shouldn't be a thing. Is there no interim government to be employed until replacements are agreed upon?

Didn't trump say he would claim responsibility? LOL!

Can trump supporters ever call the POTUS out on anything?

I do not think this story is true. Zero Hedge is not really a reliable source.

Or you're a young husband without a college degree and have a child and a wife and an auto loan and rent and electricity and water and gas and insurance and you just don't make enough to cover those things.

Or you are a mother with three children a husband who is nowhere to be found and you are already working two jobs and there is still more month left after the money runs out...

There are millions of stories and circumstances and we should help so no one goes hungry. Thats christian isnt it?

But you know.... crack and beer swilling nerdowells who dont work and leave the kids with the dogs as babysitters are the only people getting food stamps right?

Guess we'll find out if Democrats care more about their constituents or opposing Trump.

Yeah, he said he would shut the government down if Democrats didn't want to do one simple thing. 5 billions dollars.

The left is on record voting to give 40 billion to border security under Obama. I wonder what changed?

So, the ball is in Democrats court now. Play chicken with the lives of their constituents, or vote for something they've voted for in the past.
