Sustainable development, clean energy, energy efficiency.

If we could even possibly reduce the impact of humans on the planet by 50% (unlikely) overnight, we'd still be hammering it with the impact of 3.5 billion people. That isn't sustainable either.

When people use the word "sustainable" they're not really using it properly. If you're using resources that cannot be replaced and you're generating waste/pollution that won't go away, you're still working with short-term sustainability. Meaning that if we did absolutely everything we can with "Sustainable development, clean energy, energy efficiency" but our population stayed the same (or, more likely, kept growing as it has been) we'd only really be buying ourselves a little more time in the long run. The planet was not meant to prioritize the sustenance of a single species that doesn't know when to stop breeding.

Question: What Should Humanity Do About the Threat of Climate Change
Answer: Stop breeding or breed less.

Long answer: Our planet is not big enough to accommodate 8 billion people and it's getting out of control. Lets take climate change out of the question and ask what are we meant to do once all the resources have dried up?
Blame each other because that's part of being human.

Nuclear winter should cool the planet. Also Yellowstone volcano is many years over-due and the cooling from that explosion should keep the Earth cool for awhile except we'd still have the population problem.

It's the extensive farming that will kill the planet mostly. nature Isn't growing back fast enough.

Earth has the capacity of 100 billion in populations and even more…

Considering build and creating…

-Underground cities/megacities.
-Cities/megacities on top of the oceans/under the oceans/ seas.
-Orbital cities.
-Constructions of the “belt cities just couple 100 meters above the ground” connected via enforced and sturdy high ways.

Possibilities are countless if we stop being arrogant and acts like total idiots. We have the required and a needed technology to make it happens.

All-the-above energy policy.

The world is going to need power to either air condition or heat living and food growing spaces. The race of Man cannot change nor stop changing climates. The climate will always change in one direction or the other. Man is an insignificant anomaly, bug spot on a massive planet.

I feel all cities should turn off their lights from 10 pm until 6 am. All trash should be mandatorily recycled. Pick up road side, beach side, ocean, parking lot trash and recycle it. All houses and businesses must recycle. Donate things you don't need to charities. Weed trimmer line and straws should be a plant based material. Do not make any new plastics. People on welfare should have Nordstrom implants for birth control installed. Rehabilitate inner city housing, control urban sprawl. Do not hunt the African animals. We need to be smarter and more eco conscious. Renewable clean energy, expire gasoline powered engines. Most of all get along and work together. All These extreme weather events are an example of the earth reacting and clearing humans off the planet. I feel a disease pandemic is what will eventually depopulate the planet significantly. It will probably be soon, things are out of control.
