what do you expect for 10 bucks an hour.

A heck of a lot more than that.

Maybe the common sense of an earthworm at least?

I think there can be room for "both."

I cannot disagree enough.

Sure, the customer was acting like the northbound end of a southbound mule, but he's paying for that privilege. The clerk is being paid... he's on company time, not his time, and he is representing the store. There's a world of difference in what i think when I walk into a store and see a customer out of line as opposed to seeing a clerk out of line. If it's the clerk, I'm likely going to try and find someplace else to go from then on; if it's a customer, I'm just going to shake my head and say something under my breath about "Idiocracy."

That clerk was damaging the business he worked for, as surely as if he was knocking everything off the shelves. He deserves no sympathy and no compassion from anyone. That's a large part of the problem with our society today... some things are just beyond being nice about.

Perhaps I wasn't quite clear enough. I was speaking in support of the bakers, and in rebuke of the vape guy.

Vape Guy had two levels of error. The first was wholly refusing service across the board. The second was his insane behavior. Either one would be reasonable grounds for termination or general outcry.

When I say "room for both," I mean that even if this employee didn't lose it and still completely refused service that one could see that as unacceptable while still rationally supporting someone like the bakers.

The misunderstanding isnt too far out though. Like I said, it might very well be too subtle of a distinction for the general social contract. Which does complicate things..

It is fun to watch people freak out . Here's a good one.

So you have a dude yelling "GTFO of my country" a couple of times and to you that is equal to what this weirdo kid is doing? I mean mountains and mole hills man.

OK, I get your meaning now. My apologies for misunderstanding you.

I'll allow that if he simply refused to serve the customer, I would likely have still fired him, but I would have at least asked what the holy Hades he was thinking and why he thinks I shouldn't take an estimated sales amount out of his final paycheck. But the hissy fit... no, just no, no way would I ever put up with that kind of behavior at all!

That clerk is likely going to have a very rough life if he doesn't get his head on straight and get it on straight quick. I'm actually in awe that he is allowed to walk loose, much less actually have a job that doesn't sequester him in a dark back room somewhere.

But yeah, we are in agreement... I mistakenly thought you meant room for both the clerk's actions and the customer's actions.

This is why Trump won. Make this go viral so he’ll win again in 2020

Too late for that, he’s already won 2020.

Look at his ‘competition’

Hang on a minute.

Don't you Americans keep telling us that you have freedom to do whatever you wish, as long as it's not breaking the law?

Oh !

Man, was that customer an entitled brat. Refused to leave the shop when clearly ordered to (a right to any employee of the highest "rank" in the ladder present), not stopping to press the employee to "sell me that *piece of crap I do not care about*" and being just an allround end of the intestinal tract.

The employee probably had one too many crappy customer that day. I think that more should use their voice to tell those "the customer is always right and king of this store"-"customers" the door.

I did not view the full video, as it did not end with the customer being brought outside by security forces/police.

Excellent attempt at trolling. Unfortunately just a bit too obvious.

Exactly how far does your line of thinking extend ? Ambulance services are provided by private companies, do they under your line of thinking have the right to refuse service to an individual wearing a shirt they dont like ? Are municipal services like fire and police also entitled to refuse service based upon the voting records of individuals ? What about banks ? Are they allowed to pick and choose customers based upon their choice of candidates ? It's a deep hole based upon your line of thinking.

What about a customer who is wearing an Old Navy shirt in a J C Penny store ? Should they demand they turn the shirt inside out ? I know I have been gifted, or given free shirts from time to time that didnt necessarily reflect my choice of shopping or my opinions, nor reflect the way I voted. It is just a shirt, doesnt mean I support Old Navy, nor that I voted for Trump.

As you pointed out, we have been down the road of segregation and it's an ugly road that should never be traveled. Stores should have a right to refuse service to individuals creating a problem or dressed inappropriately, but when it's something as simple as disagreeing with ones political affiliations, which this store would not have even known had it not been for the shirt, then no issue would have even arisen. Everyone's money is the same color, it seems stupid for a business to refuse a customer's money but I agree they have the right to refuse it.

Apparently, that is not how the business in question felt since they fired the clerk and apologized to the customer. The most disturbing thing in the video is the clerk screaming that the customer is racist but uses racial epithets to describe the customer. That Is classic liberalism hypocrisy at work.

I just keep coming back to this thread to watch the video and my smile gets bigger every time.
The thing is.....this nitwit probably isn’t even embarrassed by his galactic meltdown or that he got fired for it, now that the entire world has seen it.
Liberal clowns like this have no conscience, shame or couth.

Did anyone else notice that the transaction to purchase was JUST ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE, then old mate the Trumpster triggered the ginger ninja into a 2nd fit of full retard by insisting the ninja 'does his bidding' by undertaking the required transaction.

Then the ginger ninja snapped (again) and the whole sale was off the table.

This tells me that the ginger ninja has mental issues and is a prime candidate as a potential mass murdering shooter, like the softball game shooter.

If I were DHS, ol ginger ninja would be marked for further action.

Be glad you don't work for me.

If you did, you wouldn't work for me.

Who cares?

I did not view the full video, as it did not end with the customer being brought outside by security forces/police.

Like I said in my first post, it should have ended with the (ex)clerk being escorted out of the store and being told in no uncertain terms he would be arrested for trespassing if he ever entered it again. Simple firing was too good for him.

If you treat customers like that in Europe, I'll never go there. Win-win for both of us.
