I would start working and save my money, spend it sparingly, stay out of debt and stay away from drugs.
I deffintatly don’t suffer and have forged and incredible life for myself even at a young age when I look back on the excess I’ve indulged in over the years I think of how I could have did better and been better.

I’d still marry the same girl and walk many of the same paths but assuming I have the mind and hindsight I have now many things would be different.

I'd enjoy waking up and going to bed without a sore back.

I would do a lot of stupid things, wreck my cognitive clarity and set myself up for failure for the next 10 years until finally having a real come to Jesus talk with my heart when I then can begin to succeed in life...

Because that's apparently how my brain worked as an 18-years-old. The past can keep its week. I'll take a week's hance m glance at the future though!

When I was last 18 it was 1976, I was a hard working, super responsible, young man. If I got a another week to be 18, This time i’d Hope to do it on spring break in Cancun. Doing all of the party things I didn’t have time to do in 76.

Hmmm, tough one.

If I were 18, for one week? I don't know. If it would only be one week, I'd prefer to push that back about 4 years. I was at the height of my physical shape at 22. Then I could go show that off a bit. Maybe run hurdles again. I really miss that.

If I could go back to 18 and do over? I'd make sure I got to a migraine specialist so my headaches weren't impacting my running and schooling like they did. They derailed a lot as they went chronic on me. My schedule got totally insane.

Travel to meet on Thursday/Friday. Compete on Friday/Saturday. Have migraine on Sunday and Monday, sometime bleed over into Tuesday. Try my best to hold down training through Sunday into Thursday despite headaches. Miss classes on Monday with headache and Thursday, Friday with travel. Kill myself playing catchup with it all Tuesday and Wednesday. Be sick all day Sunday and sometimes on the bus Saturday and most of Monday, sometimes into Tueday.

It's a miracle I even got a degree at all.

When I was 18, I wanted to skydive. I am now 47, and you could not push me out of an airplane, with six parachutes.

if you mean go back in time, I'd get ahold of some money and buy a Realistic stereo (receiver and speakers). and track myself down and insist that I don't gain all that weight.

if you mean be physically 18 again, bike riding and hiking. if I could get the $ together, go to Florida and go freediving.

Do everything I could to prevent my step father from passing away.
Invest in computers.

I was married at 16. We split around when I was 20 or so. I would have let him go sooner, I wouldn't have held on to what was an obviously toxic partnership...we both deserved better and I would have went back home and took care of my ageing folks sooner. I wouldn't have missed all those years by being stubborn.

I always think, though, that those years if anything HAD changed that I wouldn't have the life I do today...with my children so even though it may be fun to look back and think what if, I'm pretty satisfied with how it went in the end.

Merry Christmas to you!

In a very small computer company at $1 a share in the early 80s vying to go against a company nicknamed Big Blue
Advertised in the back of Omni magazine.
Know where that company is today ?

If I could go back to 18 knowing what I know now? That would be interesting. I would definitely use it to my benefit.
Just a hard reset back to 18? Nah, I wouldn't care too much about that. I may have gone through a lot of bad experiences, but I'm a wiser person because of it.

Eighteen in 2018 or 2019? Hell no. No way in hell. I would end up in jail or something.

Awww, honey. What were you doing when you were 18? I didn't miss a thing. I flaunted it while I had it and indulged in everything I wanted to. I have no regrets, although I don't have any desire to relive any of it.

Talk my wife into a week of Mrs Robinson fantasies, enjoy having nearly no responsibilities compared with normal life today, and celebrate having great vision without contact lenses or glasses. Otherwise, honestly, my life isn't that different today from when I was 18. I did what I wished then, still do today.
