Wow Night! That is some tree!!! One would need a 20 foot pole with a hook on it to hang the lights on it.
Such a magnificent home its in.

I love the end of the year celebration. If one has no religion you can still be happy to close and open a new year. Not to mention daylight hours will soon be longer by approximately 1 minute per day until summer solstice which was great cause to celebrate for those who lived without electricity and gas and lights for thousands of years. Things we take for granted today.

There is not much of a Christmas where I live but I'm always glad to celebrate. It reminds me of the childhood days when there was so much magic in those holidays...
I think we all should celebrate something every day no matter how small and insignificant, just be grateful and count your blessings; and Christmas is the one of those days when a lot of people agree with me
So I rejoice and I am happy for the people celebrating together, and for those not celebrating Christmas I hope they will find in their heart other reasons to celebrate and light their day if only a little bit.
And thank you Night Star for your always considerate and loving posts!

Christmas was always magical for me, though things aren't quite the same anymore after losing my last Parent and some of the family being scattered. I am grateful for the family I have left and for the very special friends I have in my life who bring joy. I am hoping that people who are alone or sad will come here on Christmas and spend time with each other. I hope also that others show up to share their company and love.

I realize how many people on the site are going through dark times and struggling through one thing or another. I feel it is important that we are here for each other. People have always been here for me when I needed them the most and it meant the world to me. I didn't feel so all alone in my suffering and for that I am ever so grateful. We have some really amazing folks on this site!


Do come back on Christmas if you can and hang out for a while.
