Just ran into an intresting video on youtube. Been trying to find out more about it.

I havent finished it yet, but i havent been this impressed for a long time. The segment im referring to starts at 3:07.

There is a man flying something and if its CGI im blown away..

Or am I just naive and this has been debunked already?

Naive. It's real. Has nothing to do with antigravity. That alone proves the maker of that video is willing to lie.

The only thing that video is missing is a unicorn

Surprised they didn't take a horse and claim it as one.

I like it so far. I have never seen the Russian guy flying around in that thing whatever it is. Pretty interesting. S&F from me.

How is it not practical? I am not sure I understand the use of the word practical in regard to this subject.

It could never be used by the average person for travel.

All it is is forcing air out the hole in the bottom creating thrust. It's not anything special.

So is this like a mini jet engine? The exhaust is vectored down and the man is using his weight to steer?

Looking at the video, where is the exhaust or the distortion of air under the craft? Did they CGI it out?

At least as far a human technological capabilities that is.

Yes a modified aircraft engine. Why would you see distortion? Nothing to edit out.

Steering is from tilting the craft causing the thrust to push in a direction as well as up.

I probably just dont understand. I was thinking you would be able to see the heated air from the exhaust like the harrier:

How fast would this tin can go flying off if it was putting out the same power as the harrier.

When you use a leaf blower do you see heat distortion? A lawn mower? No.

That makes sense, thank you for the clarification. They must have been very careful not to show anything moving underneath the craft, like grass or dust/dirt.

It's in the sky almost the whole time in that clip and they only showed what they wanted you to see. Even still look at the video again. You will see him shift his weight to make the cart change directions.

Zero gravity he'd be able to stop and flip upside down. This video is lying.
