Those not getting a paycheck probably will.

How long do you think the shutdown will last?

Congress has historically back paid those folks, so they'll be fine. The shutdown will last until the wall is funded... ask Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer how long that will be.

Yep, I figured as much.

The usual suspects will be by shortly to talk about how evil Trump is for shutting down the government. Not sure how that works since he hasn't actually vetoed anything, just threatened to. The Senate couldn't pull their heads out of their respective rears long enough to pass a bill for him to sign. Trump was willing to veto a bill and take the blame, but Congress couldn't even do that.

So, we have a Congress that can't even pass a bill for Trump to veto. The real question is, why?

Until the fools in Congress figure out how to actually do their job.

Possibly quite a while, since this is only a partial shutdown.

I honestly done care.
Any other employee in a normal company wouldn't get paid for not working.
They will stay home and still get paid.

Those employees who are required to work will not receive paychecks.

Which is to pass a budget that the President will sign.

That's their job.

So, I guess that means that Trump will cancel his trip to Mar-A-Lago? Secret Service and the Coast guard are among those who won't be getting paid.

I thought Mexico was going to pay for the wall! Now, it's Congress' job to force tax payers to pay for the wall? I don't think so!

It's only 9pm in DC. Have they left already or is this just brinksmanship?

"Well who's fault is it anyway?"

Bigly. Proudly.

Not actually true. If it made it to Trump and he did not let it pass, yes, Trump would own it. But it didn't make it out of the Senate. That puts the blame square on the Senate's shoulders. Now I wonder if Chuck will take the blame.

For it to be Trumps Fault he would have to have something in front of him to sign.
