Human beings are changing. Not in a Darwin way. Our attitudes and spirits are changing. I don't want to break this down into every area and percentages. Just look at the humanity around you. In this forum even. Everyone is offended by everything that is made public. Not because they are or aren't a part of your views. If it's introduced into the public, it stirs anger and emotion. On an ever increasing scale. To the point, it can't be shut down.
What is happening? Say anything. Someone will come against it. With heavy emotions.
Calm down everyone. I catch myself caught up in this mindset everyday and wonder how the heck I'm so emotional over nothing.
Just be aware I guess. Don't really have much solution. Just pointing out what I have been observing.

I very much doubt if humans have changed at all in the last 4-5 thousand years (at least).

Yes we have. A grand percentage of the human population at least.

Just look at how social media is affecting people, the way they work, they eat, they wear, they do, they talk... We are living a different paradigm now that started with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, along with the Hollyweirdo industry using all these platforms to disseminate their conditioning.

Our kids are gonna grow up in a different planet.

You are so wrong. I can't believe you are saying this and have created this thread. YOU MAKE SO ANGRY!

What I see the problem is on one side you have a group of people who believe in absolute truth. The people who believe in absolute truth think their own opinions are facts. And other people's opinions are either lies or just wrong. You can't have a democracy if opposing opinions are considered non-valid votes. So our democracy is on the way out.

On the other side, you have a kind of academic nihilism where there is no absolute truth. Everyone's judgment about what is right, what is wrong, what is good, and what is bad is relative to other people. This other group believes commentary about what is truth is a subjective judgment. This group believes commentary about reality is never truth but just subjective judgments as seen through the perspective of the person making the judgment.

So choose. Do you believe in absolute right and wrong? Or do you believe in relative truth and every opinion is equally valid.

People in the first group are also obsessed with who is in authority because who is in authority is the source of absolute truth. The people in the second group do not believe any one person is above any other and instead of rule by authority they believe in rule by committee.

So choose. Do you believe rule by someone in authority is right? Or, do you believe we are all equals and rule by committee is right?

Authoritarianism versus communism has been going on for a long time. Do men want leadership or do men want fellowship?

From the movie First Knight:

www.script-o-rama.com...

This is what Arthur doesn't understand.
Men don't want brotherhood,
they want leadership.

Arthur says, "Serve one another".
When will you live your own lives?
This is the freedom I bring you!
Freedom from his tyrannical dream!
Freedom from his tyrannical law!

So choose. Do you believe in the rule of law forcing equality of the weak? Or do you believe might equals right and the biggest bully in the room is not only right but has the right to dominate others because they are weak?

There are two philosophies that I think will save the world.

The first is the awareness of the "metamorphic effect of power" coined by David Kipnis in his behavior psychology book, "Power Holders" and his book, "Power and Technology." You've heard the expression from Lord Acton, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Well, it's even worse than that! It turns out there is a fatal flaw in human psyche when it comes to people in positions of power. In Kipnis's book he focuses not on the worker, consumer, or citizen. But instead he focuses on the CEO, corporation, and government official. He focuses on the power holder and not the masses under control. And his results are astounding! It turns out when people assume positions of power it changes the way they think.

The people in positions of power eventually experience a growing sense of contempt and hatred for the people they have power or influence over. This is why the leader of communism or all governments eventually turn on their people. Kipnis coins this effect the "metamorphic effect of power". When your psyche changes there becomes a point where you don't see the people you have power over as human beings, but insects or automaton machines not worthy of shred of respect with having no moral consequences if you squash them like ants under you foot. The only way not to be changed by metamorphic effect is to be aware of it's existence.

The second philosophy has to do with delusions of identity. Consider the following passages from the Bible:

John 3:1-10
Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?" "Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can these things be?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and do not understand these things?
Romans 10:9-10
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
There are many ways to interpret the words in the Bible. Words are pointers to some meaning. Everyone experiences the meaning of words based on their life experiences. So what does it mean to die and be born again is full of many interpretations. Here is what I think it means.

Who are we? What is important is to realize we are not just like each other, we ARE each other. None of us invented sex. It is just part of what it means to be a human being. Everyone is capable of having sex. The same thing is true with human character. None of us invented or owns our human character. Most of us have ego delusion. Everything we think is who we are exists in other people. Our way of looking at the world is not unique. What makes us happy and what makes us sad is not unique. Since you are not really uniquely alive as your ego delusion would have you believe, who you are lives on in the human race. As long as the human race is thriving none us will actual die.

Once you realize we are all the same, once you recognize your own ego delusion, you die and are reborn again to experience what being a human being really means. This new way of experiencing what it means to be a human being is like the golden rule on steroids. Seeing other people as yourself changes the way you experience and appreciate God. You are never alone because everyone around you is a friend. Knowing you will not die because you will live on in other people is very liberating. You attain a new found faith that no matter what happens everything is going be alright because everything you love and appreciate is going to live on in other people.

Combine having an awareness of the metamorphic effect of power with an understanding of ego delusion and you have a recipe for changing the mindset of the World from to the current barbarism to one having a shred of hope. This is not a quick-fix solution. The solution outlined here might take 100 or 200 hundred years before it migrates over the billions of people making up the collective human mind.

============

The answer to everything that is wrong in the world is identified and a brilliant solution is given starting with the 14th minute of the video:

Researcher Hans Rosling New Insights on Poverty

If Jesus showed up today nobody would believe him and he would be killed instantly. This is why Hans Rosling's absolutely brilliant work on poverty is ignored. The solution to all our poverty problems is so evident it blows the mind!

I agree with Toolman. Human archetypes have not changed in 5000 years:

The archetypes talked about in the video are just as much true today as ever. Here's the book on Amazon:

I keep thinking the bombardment of our brains with so many wireless signals is negatively affecting us. I'm getting ready to rad the thread on "Dangerous 5G Networks" which is yet a new one to come on the scene. Maybe our brains are overstimulated and it's making us on edge and quick to anger. Who knows, but I hear ya.

Nice fairy dress in your avatar. You make a very good point. For how our minds are programmed consider this video:

The science has been very well research for over 100 years. It all begins here:

The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind By Gustave Le Bon that was first published in 1895.

The only way to defend yourself from the propaganda is to be aware of its existence!

I don't know about what "changes" means that you are talking about. I think young people today are absolutely brilliant and completely worthy of our absolute devotion to their successes in life.

These days are (apparently) like those of Noah. That could be evidence that “we” haven’t changed much since then.
