Is this the same bill that Pelosi insisted would not pass the House during that Press Conference?

33 members didn't vote. Depending on how they may have voted, it could have failed.

Eight Republicans joined all 177 voting Democrats to oppose the measure, which passed 217-185. The bill now goes to the Senate.

Yeah, but it didn't.

Why not use all of these drug related "asset forfeitures" to fund border security?

Candidate Trump floated the idea of using seized Cartel $$$ in September 2016.

This President has an incredible forward-thinking mind.

Is this the bill that contains relief funds for people in communities that experienced natural disasters in 2018?

I believe so.

OK..that explains a lot. "Strategic bundling" of the spending bill's benefits. Excellent!

Dems will still vote it down in the Senate. They know the MSM has their back.

They also know that Trump has already taken on the mantle of blame for shutting down the government.

It would be okay if El Chapo does it

I don't know. If they shut down the government, does it also shutdown investigations?

I'm listening to a debate right now as a matter of fact. Democratic morals are very very low.

Willing to let people die from illegal aliens and illegal drugs just because they want new democrat voters and they are against President Trump. They are a disgusting evil bunch.

This is a great point, I think I read somewhere that the Director of the Office of Management and Budget decides what stays open and what doesn't.

Makes sense since Mick Mulvaney will stay on temporarily as the Director while he serves as Trump's acting White House Chief of Staff

Keeping out the hoard of Mexicans headed for the welfare system would pay for the wall in no time at all.

So Trump could be in a Win/Win situation?

Do you know when he is scheduled to be briefed by Mueller on what has been discovered thus far?

That's only if Trump has to veto the bill...Problem is: the House sided with Trump and now it's up to Shumer to pass the House version or shut down the gov't...It's all in Shumer's lap now...

Have not seen anything on full briefing date yet...

nbc

The acting attorney general has not been fully briefed on Mueller’s investigation but has been apprised of major developments per protocol. Rosenstein continues to play the leading role in overseeing the investigation, but Whitaker has the ultimate authority to approve or challenge new investigative steps.
