None of the grownups in Washington approve of leaving our allies in the lurch and ceding control of the region to Russia, Turkey and Assad.

It's crazy.

They're all poopyheads!

The Democratic party... the party of endless wars.

Sounds familiar...

Jim Mattis's views don't line up with Trumps. That tells me he doesn't approve of Trumps move to pull out of Syria.

He also pulled out of Stormy Daniels.

My views on treating allies with respect and also being clear-eyed about both malign actors and strategic competitors are strongly held and informed by over four decades of immersion in these issues. We must do everything possible to advance an international order that is most conducive to our security, prosperity and values, and we are strengthened in this effort by the solidarity of our alliances. Because you?have the right to have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down from my position.

Speaks volumes.

Sounds like globalist garbage to me.

I admire Gen. Mattis.

But I have to wonder if this is over Trump wanting to pull out of Syria.

Because I, for one, am tired of our country fighting wars not to win, but to perpetuate war.

That saddens me...

Nothing really else to add, was nice for a while to have a Sec Def that knows and understands what the boots on the ground folks go through.

The world is interconnected globally now so a globalist mindset is not a bad thing.

Yep, it is in protest of the withdraw from Syria with Mattis believing doing so is not in the best interest of our country and actually benefiting Russia.

Maybe pulling troops out of Afghanistan next.
nypost.com...
I don't want our troops spread all over the world. I also don't want to be the policeman of the world. I don't really care who pulls the troops out either or what party they are from. Either way, we are damned if we do or damned if we don't.

I don't care about Russia. Don't care about Syria.

I only care about my brothers and sisters in the military.

Uhhhh, it was a protest on the Syrian move you.

Every single leftist immediately knee jerked without understanding the context.

In this case, WAR.

I thought all of you all were agaisnt WAR? because a man was rebuffed and resigned as a result, ya'll just want to hate on Trump as a result, lmfao, says alot of the mental capacities displayed here.

Let's do this in crayons,

Mattis wanted troops to stay in Syria., Trump wanted them
OUT

...??

Oh, but Orange Man bad, mmmm!!!!

“International order” from his resignation letter reminds me of NWO, at first glance.

Exactly! And whom makes us (USA) the all supreme power to dictate the outcome of the rest of the world. We cannot be the intermediary to every conflict on this planet. Eventually, that will bite us in our ass. There is always a new Super Power that will conquer the existing one — as history has shown us, over and over.

I know, right?

We'll hear nothing but how we need to fight in Syria from the left now.

If he doesn't like the Syria move...

Good riddance ya war monger.

Did you really think a marine general with the nickname 'mad dog' wouldn't be a warhawk?

With Mattis gone, that leaves no adults left in the White House to control Trump. Next year is going to be f**kin' insane.

There has only been 3 superpowers so we'll need to see more info to see a trend. And none of those conquered each other.

Wiki

a fundamental characteristic that is consistent with all definitions of a superpower is a nation or state that has mastered the seven dimensions of state power: geography, population, economy, resources, military, diplomacy and national identity.
