So you don’t think it’s right then to arrest and send members of ISIS to prison?

Well they don't..... MI5 let them run free to commit acts of terrorism, even when they publicly declare there support.

So who labeled the group they belong to a "terrorist" organization?
The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled fundamental Christians "terrorists"
what a joke...

You know what? Stating that anyone who happens to be in a group with unpopular beliefs, or people who are in some way naturally defective human beings (IE - those who are paedophiles) should be torn apart by horses is pretty abhorrent in itself!

People who profess terrorist ideology, who obtain books which teach you how to mount an armed insurrection with recipes for various explosive devices capable of mass killing/ maiming, should be locked up for a considerable length of time, and should basically be monitored for however long a judiciary deems them to be a potential threat. They might be capable of becoming rehabilitated & reformed, and if so, that's a great success for our justice system & for our societal standards of morality.

People who have deviant sexual tendencies should be psychologically treated with any methods deemed capable of assisting with their safe management. They should be chemically castrated. They should be continually monitored to ensure that they don't pose a direct threat to children, and to ensure that they do not obtain or distribute abhorrent pornographic material. If they have committed an offence they should be incarcerated, and all other methods noted should be applied. Prison is a harsh punishment for sex offenders, and some measure of more severe justice is usually meted out at least once. In that sense, nature is taking its course; however, it is not morally acceptable to put them at risk of death or severe torture when it is known in advance that some set of circumstances might lead to that eventuality. With the right treatment & monitoring, even the worst can be made to be at least minimally useful by working in monitored environments for the pursuance of economically beneficial outcomes in favour of the state which is having to expend resources to monitor & provide therapy for them.

I hope you can agree these proposed actions, many of which (& more) are already applied in civilised nations, are far preferable than proposing that anyone is to be torn apart by wild horses. Such views are societally retarded, and morally reprehensible.

Mi5 do not have the powers of arrest but thats besides the point because you never answered my question.

Do you think it would be right for the UK to allow members of ISIS to walk the streets or do you believe that members of ISIS, that is to say proven members who identify as members of the group, should be locked up?

It really disappoints me to see ATS members supporting Nazis and making excuses for their racist, hate speech.

When I hear..."oh their despicable people, but their hateful racist ideology dosen't hurt anyone." that's BS!

Dont be so #ing obtuse. You know exactly what I mean.

A number of times a Muslim terrorist has clearly stated their crazy intent and actively and MI5 knew and did not get the police to arrest them.

To be fair no.

No crime should be no prison. If they are proven to be plotting something yes jail them, but just being a member no,

I am not being obtuse just pointing out that actually Mi5 don't have powers of arrest.

Now you might disagree all you want but the law in the UK is the law and that law states it is a criminal offence to be a active member of a prescribed terrorist group which these two where members of.

No crime should be no prison. If they are proven to be plotting something yes jail them, but just being a member no,

Again, I don't know if this has been made clear enough for you, their crime was being part of a terrorist group, this is a crime just like being a member of ISIS is a crime.

I find it kind of crazy that there are people on ATS who seem to think that its wrong to send members of terrorist groups to prison but I guess if thats your opinion then have at, just don't expect me to agree with it because I find it abhorrent.

Boohoo.

You pulled that entirely out of your rear end.

hate speech.

Free speech*

There is no such thing as "hate speech" in the United States.

You either protect, preserve and defend the Constitution or you do not. There is no gray area. There is no middle ground. You either universally without condition support free speech or you do not truly support free speech in its entirety.

Persecuting someone for holding unpopular beliefs expressing unpopular ideas is wrong. It is just as bad as those things you are railing against, however justified those sentiments may be.

It isn't about freedom of thought or speech.
It's about being a member of a terrorist group.

Personally I had my doubts about whether It should have been designated as such, but since it has you'd be a fool to remain an active member.

And what kind of douche names their kid after Hitler?

This entire situation because the couple are white and Hitler is mentioned , then its grounds to go all out.

I'm sure there are many proud parents who named their kids after Obama bin laden .

But criticizing that is iffy....

Again it was because they were members of a terrorist group. It had nothing to do with them calling their kid Adolf or them being white.

i think its worth noting that what your american cousins are trying to point out is that if you legislate certain speech then you no longer have a free society.
thats it.
by definition.
its all about pavlovian psychology and group think.
so perhaps you should stop wildly virtue signalling and apply a little cold logic to the situation.
you may find other peoples views abhorrent and it is your right to do so, and say so, if you so wish. this is natural human discourse
the point where you confuse thought and speech with action and intent and then punish individuals for it is the beginning of something very nasty.
take a little trip through history and see where stifling speech leads to.

you see here it is right there.
fly wants to lock people up for what they read and think.
the first thing that occurs to me is that anyone who espouses views that are responded to in this fashion is probably crazy. (terrorists etc.)
the dangerous ones dont go shouting about their intentions.
better to let people speak and surveil them.

"You know what? Stating that anyone who happens to be in a group with unpopular beliefs, or people who are in some way naturally defective human beings (IE - those who are paedophiles) should be torn apart by horses is pretty abhorrent in itself!"

i imagine theres alot of people who see nothing wrong with this, fly, as long as they dont have to watch or get their hands dirty. (thats quite an extreme method of disposal by the way. lol)

You guys clearly have no idea who National Action are, the threat they pose and why they're rightly the first far right group to be a proscribed terrorist group in the UK since WW2.

Combat 18 set off nail bombs and murdered a few people in stabbings but still avoided being banned for comparison.

'The alleged leader of banned 'neo-Nazi' group National Action is due in court charged with plotting to murder Labour MP Rosie Cooper

Five other suspects are also charged with being members of National Action, including a 22-year-old man, who is also accused of making threats to kill and intending to commit acts of terrorism contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.'

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk...

Labour MP Rosie Cooper thanks defected neo-Nazi for 'saving her life' by revealing machete plot Informant Robbie Mullen alerted counter-extremism campaigners to terrorist Jack Renshaw's plans

Rosie Cooper, the Labour MP for West Lancashire, was the target of a terror plot by neo-Nazi Jack Renshaw ( Supplied )
An MP has thanked a former neo-Nazi for saving her life after he exposed a terror plot to murder her with a machete.
Police had no intelligence that a National Action member was preparing to kill Rosie Cooper until one of his fellow extremists sounded the alarm to a campaign group.

The 23-year-old had already bought a 19ins-long machete, which investigators found stashed in an airing cupboard, and had researched his targets’ movements.

Jack Renshaw admitted plotting to kill his local Labour MP with a machete (Hope Not Hate)
Mr Mullen had been in contact with Hope Not Hate for several months as he tried to find a way out of the terrorist organisation, which went underground after a government ban.

His fears that its repulsive rhetoric against Jews, non-whites and “race traitors” would tip over into bloody action were confirmed when the group met in a Warrington pub on 1 July last year.
Renshaw was riled up after being arrested on suspicion of sexually grooming a child and for stirring up racial hatred with two of his speeches in Blackpool and Leeds.
Seeking revenge on both the police and “establishment”.

London's Old Bailey heard: “Renshaw stated that if he was charged, he was going to kill Rosie Cooper, his local MP. He explained his plan was then to take some people hostage in a pub and when the police arrived he would demand to speak to DC Victoria Henderson.
“When the officer arrived, he would kill her. Renshaw said that after he had killed Ms Henderson he would then commit ‘suicide by cop’ by pretending to have a suicide vest on.”
Prosecutors said the would-be terrorist intended to make a “white jihad” video stating that the attack was carried out in the name of National Action that would be released after his death.

A fellow National Action member, Matthew Hankinson, said Renshaw should target a synagogue – even if there were children inside – because “all Jews are the same, they’re all vermin”.

www.independent.co.uk...

A young neo-Nazi extremist who was radicalised online is found guilty of attempted murder at a court in North Wales. Zack Davies tried to decapitate a man because he was Asian.

Zack Davies posted an image of himself in a balaclava with a large knife and the flag of the far-right group National Action hours before he carried out his violent racist attack.
The 26-year-old went to his local Tesco on 14 January, where he used a claw hammer and machete to attack Dr Sarandev Bhambra, shouting: “This is for Lee Rigby.”
During the frenzied attack he repeatedly hacked at his victim, who used his arm to defend his neck from the blade – leaving him with life-changing injuries. A soldier intervened to stop the attack and save the man’s life.

Over half their members are in jail or on trial for terror plots. # giving them free speech to plan more - they've made their intentions of starting a race war and terror campaign to overthrow the government and kill all none whites abundantly clear in their defence statements in court. They have no remorse and no intention of stopping their campaign - they share no British values and need to be arrested before more lives are lost.
