www.msn.com...’s-hush-money-payments-were-probably-illegal/ar-BBR66JI?ocid=spartannt p

The title of this OP is the title of the Washington Post article linked above. The reason why its important particular in this thread is because it demonstrates exactly why if one only reads the titles one will be completely mislead as to the facts of the article itself. Its states that Giuliani basically admits that Trump's payments were illegal. Of course if one were to actually read the article you get:

Speaking with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Giuliani sought to argue that Michael Cohen’s hush-money payments made on President Trump’s behalf can’t be campaign finance violations if they served any kind of personal purpose.

and;

He then suggested that the failed prosecution of John Edwards for a campaign finance violation bolstered his point: “It’s not a contribution if it’s intended for a purpose in addition to the campaign purpose. In the case of [Edwards’s lover] Rielle Hunter, right, the payment of $1.1 million was intended to shut her up and was intended to avoid embarrassment with [Edwards’s] wife and with his children.”

So, how is this Giuliani admitting to Trump's guilt?

Notice that once you click on the ariticle itself, the title changes to "Giuliani stumbles into admitting Trump’s hush money payments were probably illegal". Yet, still, nowhere in the article did Giuliani makes such an admission. The only thing the writer of the article states is Giuliani's defense for the payments not falling under campaign fianance laws, and the writer of the article using someone else's op-ed (another WaPo article, naturally) to make the analysis for him in order to counter Giuliani's claim.

Considering how we live in a world where people react to the title of an article while being too lazy to read it, it believe that this was an intential act in order to mislead the readers who may happen upon the title flashin on the MSN tile page. Whats funnier is the link provided below about that very issue is also from the Washington Post... the irony.

more words twisted by the Media. I can't believe that our government would allow them to do that....oh wait, deceiving someone is not illegal, if it was, every politician would be in jail. Let the buyer beware is the number one thing to remember. Buying into the BS of media is your fault, not the fault of the ones telling the tale. As long as there is some reality listed in the article, they can twist it out of shape. Usually the truth is way down the page, most people do not read that far and if you made up your mind that the article fits the title, you will not even be able to see the real truth if it is right in front of your face.

Actually that practice has a name, but I do not remember the name. I studied ad hominum and related practices used by people and that was listed as one practice used. It was years ago, the truth is out there about deceptive techniques if a person wants to find it. Most people would rather believe what others like them believe though. Our society is engulfed in deceptions at all levels these days, and people will deny that they are deceiving people even though they actually are. I try not to deceive others but sometimes the evidence I have found is later found not to be real. I appologize for the few times that has happened.

Trump only needed 1/10th the money to briefly silence his love compared to the less shrewd businessman Edwards. Again, 4D chess in action... more bang for the buck. Pay $1.1 million to keep a 45 year old homely gal you had a tryst with quiet for a short time, or pay $130,000 to keep a 26 year old porn star briefly quiet... Which shows the better businessman, more qualified to get the USA the best deals possible in matters of international trade?

*So little do I care about this noise, I am now prone to simply make jokes about it while the left fumes and spazzes out over a non issue.*

It's pretty simple... most social Democrats don't usually get past the headline.

After all, that's all they need for their daily injection of Trump hate.

In todays world of A.D.D., combined with a "I want it right now" mentality, and the ever presence of T.D.S, who has time to read anything but headlines?

The mental gymnastics required to express such a conclusion is nearly unfathomable. Journalists are supposed the inform the public, not dupe them. This is why they are fake, very fake, news.

Folks here try to diligently search out quotes and statistics from horrendously bias media.

We know, the media knows and governments know that most folks rarely read past the headline.

Apparently "Don't believe everything you see on TV" didn't translate to the internet for a lot of people.

And he turned a 140% profit on his investment to shut her up now that she has to pay his legal fees. Not a bad return for less than two years.

The funny part is OP has a broken link so your # talk isn't much better than what you accuse the Dems of doing.

hahaha

I am baffled as to why Trump is relying on Rudy for legal advice though. Isn't he, well, a bit out of touch?

Next thing we're gonna hear from the Lamestream media is that two scoops of ice cream is illegal and Trump should be impeached!
