Found this link as I was curious about your question. It doesn't really explain whether to leave it on or turn it off but there is a lot of info in it that is easy to understand concerning SSD drives. Me I turn mine off.

I turn everything in my house off when I sleep.

I mean completely. I turn my computer off at the surge protector.

I feel like it saves electricity to do that.

I recently took the plunge and got a new Dell Optiplex desktop, with an SSD.
Windows 10 even

First, Windows 10 really isn't so bad, and it really is pretty easy to get used to....especially with Win10 Pro 64-bit.
I can postpone updates until it is convenient, and avoid first day bugs, etc.

My question:
I have always let my computer stay on for days at a time.
I mean, I use it daily, why not? Especially since it takes so long to logon and logoff.
SSD is so speedy with logon and logoff, does it really need to stay on all the time, and sleep when not in use??

It's a machine. The more it runs the more wear there is to the machine.

SSD's have no moving parts though so the impact is minimal, but there is an impact to leaving it on constantly. PSU, fans etc.

SSD OS should take roughly 10 or 20 secs to boot and 5 to shut down so I would personally give it a break overnight because why not?

That doesn't even compute in my brain!!!!

I do remember my first Dell....and the clumsy CRT monitor. And the huge tower.
But that was like 2003.
When electric use was more noticeable.
Hell, my tower now is about as big as my modem LOLOL.

Well , my towers are a considerable bit larger / About 3 ft tall , 3 feet long , and about 8" wide.(Full towers)
The more room in the case , the more air flow
Although there is not that much room in 2 of them
My wife calls me her "geek"
Me being a "geek" has provided well for our family over the years
Now , if someone could teach me how to use one of them thar new-fangled phone thangs
Flip
"Beam me up Scottie"
I am out of here....

I bet it will last longer shut off.

Electronics don't like heat soak.

My ssd boots up in 10 sec, so I shutdown every night.

I leave all of mine on 24/7. The only time they turn off is to reboot for updates of if I am out of town for a while. I have not had any issues with sleep mode but I don't always use it.

I was having issues on one build with random shut downs and worked it down to the very end. It turned out to be the drive headers on the mobo. I used that as an excuse for a new build.
