Outgoing Republican Wi. Governor Scott Walker has signed several measures into place restricting the incoming Democrat Gov. This is not a democracy and leftist governments of any sort pose a credible & serious threat to the established Constitutional order. They seek to infringe upon the individual liberties our forefathers fought and bled for, and I'm personally glad to see Republicans finally starting to take the gloves off.

The only rule of the game is to win.

Outgoing Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker, facing an outcry from Democrats who accuse him of trying to weaken the power of the Democrat who will succeed him as governor, signed into law Friday several bills that make significant changes to state government in Wisconsin.

In a statement, Walker pushed back against what he referred to as Democratic “hype and hysteria” over the new laws.

“Despite all the hype and hysteria out there, these bills do nothing to fundamentally diminish executive authority,” Walker said.

He added, “The bottom line is the new governor will continue to be one of the most powerful chief executives in the country. This includes veto and line-item veto powers; appointing members of the cabinet and other government posts including judges, district attorneys, and sheriffs; broad executive order authority; administrative rule authority; issuing a state budget proposal; and more.

I personally do not feel the measures are nearly strong enough. Concentrated power is too dangerous for any LWNJ to exercise on their own, a sane/credible/reasonable/logical/non-hysterical (read: Republican) body should be providing 24/7/365 oversight and holding the leftist accountable for any attempts to subvert the Constitution or otherwise limit/restrict/rescind/infringe upon our unalienable individual liberties in any way, shape, form or degree.

Hope to see more sell-out politicians playing to win vs. playing to appease. Stop deluding yourselves into believing these are normal times or that the new radical left is representative of the good moderate "across the aisle" Dems out there... of course those Dems aren't leftists, they are centrist capitalists (which is A-OK in America's book, unlike violent socialists and terrorist commies)

So when Democrats start doing the same thing to hamstring incoming Republicans you'll be ok with it? I seriously doubt it.

Sounds like a precedent is being set here.

That is exactly what I’ve been thinking about this whole thing.
And his statements about this is very hypocritical.

This is short-sighted even for you Burns.

"It's ok as long as MY side is doing it" is not a good look for anyone.

The second part to the quote adds further context, not saying its fitting in this case, I just happen to recently realize that was only a partial.

",but fools seldom differ"

I dont appreciate this either, the harder they play the game the worse it is on us.

The basic political spectrum

Absolute power is far left
Abolute anarchy is the far right

Anything that limits government powers moves the needle to the right. That’s usually good, it doesn’t matter if it’s a republican or Democrats that limits government power, as long as it’s being limited...

If they are such good laws why did he not enact them the day HE became Gov.? Same thing going on in my state of Michigan.
Bunch of lame duck legislators pushing bills to restrict power of the new Gov. and Sec. of State and pollute our environment.

So you are comfortable with going for the unconstitutional and undemocratic route just to keep the opposition down? Got you.

You are un-American and a traitor sir. I sure hope you never took an oath to uphold...

The people voted. Period. You don't have a leg to stand on.

"BUT SOCIALISTS, DERP" doesn't cut it.

The incoming Governor should straight up say he will veto every republican bill that passes his desk unless they cut this crap.

Who are we kidding, republicans like you are becoming marginalized more and more every day. You guys are just trying to wreck the system and hold as much power as long as you can.

Sad.

You show your true colors, two tiered system as long as you're in the good tier huh. How can anyone (except the echo chamber) take you seriously now? You guys are marginalizing yourselves. It started with gerrymandering, that's straight up admitting that you cant get the votes to win in a fair election, now this?

Again sad.
And again, you marginalized yourselves.

Sounds like hypocrisy is being set. This guy is going to need a whole box of kittens and a coloring book in the safe space when the tables turn.

I read this and burst into near-hysterical laughter. Then I wondered if this was a parody of some kind. Sadly it seems that some people really do think that the GOP is still sane. It's not. It's wandered so far off the right wing of the spectrum that it's hard to see.

Perhaps, but only as a direct result of the DMC first losing their sanity and wondering so far off the left side of the spectrum. Cause and effect.

Yeah. When Mizell was killed it all went south.
