I have bookoo (sorry France) respect for Judge Napolitano, so I tried to listen and understand what was being said here. Usually I just tune this stuff out because the MSM is telling us daily about Russians, collusion, et cetera, et cetera that never seems to go anywhere.

Maybe it's just me because I'm terrible with names, but I need a chart or some visual aid to explain what's going on and how it's a felony.

As I understand it:

1. A porn star goes to a celebrity golf tournament, even though she doesn't golf. She meets Trump, goes to his hotel room, and presumably have sex.

2. Trump later decides to run for President. The porn star sees a blackmail opportunity. Trump hires a lawyer to pay the blackmail. Trump pays the lawyer, who pays the porn star, and gets a non-disclosure agreement. Trump uses his own money for this.

3. Later, the porn star sells the story to the National Enquirer. The tabloid quashes the story so it doesn't affect the election. I'm not sure what this has to do with Trump, but there it is.

4. If Trump paid the porn star blackmail to keep the story from affecting the election, then technically the money is considered campaign funds, even though it came out of Trump's pocket. This would mean that the lawyer did something illegal, and Trump did something illegal.

Does that about sum it up?

As a leftist, you also conveniently forgot the people that voted him in.

You know... the winners, by definition.

Don't forget the 260 congressmen who paid (with tax payer money) sexual harassment claims against them so that they could win elections.

Sorry. 260.

They are twisting everything to make it look like Trump did a felony. They are calling Trump's own money campaign money because they identify it as money that is used to pay for something that directly effects a campaign. Trump can pay off anyone he wants with his own money. If they consider this a Felony, they need to go and investigate every congressman and ex-president. Also all of the people who run for public office, many of who put their own undeclared money into campaigning, if they use their car, they must claim it as a campaign contribution, if they buy a potential donor a dinner, it has to be declared as campaign money.

This is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard in politics. Every single thing someone running for office does with their own money will have to be scrutinized if this sets precedence. No good honest person is ever going to run for any political office, only those people who are cons and want to milk contributors will apply. I think the judges doing this should be disbarred, I think our congress should address this falacy. Both Democrats, Republicans, and the other parties candidates from the white house down to the local water commissioner will pay for this idiocracy if it is not stopped.

Does New York have any sane people in it?

That must be why Rand Paul has come out saying we’ve “over-criminalized” campaign finances...in defense of Trump.

Rand defending Trump!?!? What world is this!!??

Ironically he didn't even have that much campaign financing.

But people don't mind as much if it's corporate approved candidates getting their clean money from super pacs.

The Electoral College is a new fangled thing to you?

Public schools... I blame that. Not your fault at all.

The United States was not set up to be a mob rule... there were several good reasons...

Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.

Alexander Hamilton asserted that "We are now forming a Republican form of government. Real liberty is not found in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments. If we incline too much to democracy we shall soon shoot into a monarchy, or some other form of a dictatorship."Hamilton, in the last letter he ever wrote, warned that "our real disease is DEMOCRACY."

Thomas Jefferson declared: "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."

Benjamin Franklin had similar concerns of a democracy when he warned that “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!” After the Constitutional Convention was concluded, in 1787, a bystander inquired of Franklin: "Well, Doctor, what have we got a Republic or a Monarchy?" Franklin replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it."

John Adams, our second president, wrote: “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.”

James Madison, the father of the Constitution wrote in Federalist Paper No. 10 that pure democracies “have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”

Your idealism is, has been and always will be fatally flawed.

The founding fathers knew a little more about history than you.

Trump isn't going to be impeached for the exact same reason Clinton isn't going to go to jail. They're too valuable to the status quo.

That's the same excuse used when Nixon did his dirty deeds and strolled away to retirement with all his perks intact. It was said that the nation couldn't withstand the horror of a president being put in prison.

Appearing on Fox news with Shepard Smith, the Fox news senior judicial analyst explained that New York prosecutors have evidence that President Trump committed a felony by paying Michael Cohen to pay women to keep them quiet during the 2016 election.

Judge Napolitano's explanation begins around the 3:45 mark.

So what put Cohen away was a statement from THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER stating the they knew they were doing it to sway opinion and help Trump get elected? And got immunity for the statement?

The Trump administration is going to get brought down by THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

I am so glad I live in Canada. The US government and justice system are a political farse.

I don't care if he gets impeached or not personally, I just know it won't happen just like I know Clinton won't go to jail.

Possibly someone should tell the TV personality that entering into a private contract and using private money to do it is not a crime and never will be.

Or if we believe the "before" Cohen, he used his own personal money to enter into a private contract for his client and then was repaid?

I forget what version of Cohen's story we are on now, to be honest.

If someone could possibly post the law or statute which says that a Presidential candidate can not make a private contract while running for office I would appreciate that, so we can debate it.

Or in this case, the law or statute that states that a Presidential candidate's lawyer cannot conduct private business matters for his client while they are running...

Or, to be honest, why doesn't Trump just say he had a Bimbo Eruption and handled it?

Seemed to work well for Bill Clinton.. his lawyers were bragging about how many he had.

Which is sick, since one of Bill's "Bimbo Eruptions" was a rape allegation that he had to eventually pay $850,000 to get a NDA on after a Supreme Court ruling on and the other was a sexual harassment...

But hey! Post the Campaign Law on that please...

Thanks in advance...

This.
Real facts will stymie the deranged Leftist cult every time.
